Sniperzden - BIO Ammo Part 2

Postby Riddick » Fri Apr 06, 2012 12:32 am

A long discussion with the owner of Sniperzden was held tonight in regards to the current policy on field ammo only. It was asked for and approved though with much hesitation/questioning to once again allow personal bio ammo to be used at the field though not without consequence. This is only a temporary change for 2012.

A strong warning comes from Greg with the change.
This is this communities last chance at the field to obey the bio ammo rules posted below. If you fail to follow the rules, you not only will be ejected from the field for the day without refund, the field will also be shut down for any future airsoft use. This is your only warning

He also states that this is a Hobby Field. He is not dependant to keep it open for everyone/anyone. Obey the rules and we will have a place to play at. Break it and we lose it.

Feel free at anytime to clarify with Greg Buyserie @ Sniperzden to see if I am making any of this shit up. Keep in mind that this is only a temporary policy change. You very likely will see the field go back to field ammo only for 2013 and beyond. Don't like it, Don't come. We will give you a way in advance notice if or when the policy will change.

The actual policy as it currently stands

Sniperzden is a BIO AMMO ONLY field and you are currently allowed to bring onto the field any BIO ammo listed below.

All ammo must be kept in the original manufacturers bag which must be clearly marked with their label/brand and contain the words "BIO" or "BIODEGRADABLE" per the manufacturer.

We only accept the following "manufacturer" brand of bio ammo.

Airsoft Elite
Airsplat
BB King
Bioshot
Bioval
Elite Force
EVENT HOST AMMO
Excel
Goldenball
G&G
King Arms
Mad Bull
P-Force
Team SD (TSD)
ThunderKiss NW

*The event host ultimately has the right to choose if they want to restrict the ammo rule to event only ammo or use the approved brand list above. At no time can a host supercede the policy stated above in any manner.

ALL AMMO MUST BE VERIFIED AT REGISTRATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!

If you are caught using non-bio ammo unless an exception made, you will be ejected from the event and any event fees paid will not be refunded.

We as a community/group will also lose the right to have airsoft events held at Sniperzden.

You do not have to purchase the onsite providers BIO ammo however you must only use BIO ammo when playing on this field using a bb weight of .30g or less. Players with sniper rifles using a bb weight of .31g or higher can use NON-BIO however you must still check in your ammo

Why did I ask for this change? To avoid drama or unnecessary chatter, PM me and I will explain.

Thanks for working on this Riddick

As a community we should police ourselves - don't be 'that' guy who fucks it up for all of us. It appears the Airsoft Community as a whole is on thin ice at SniperzDen due to past transgressions by a few. If we want to continue playing here, folks should work on leaving this place in better shape than when we arrived - may help to renew some of the lost faith in us.

If not, we lose SniperzDen and are down to probably two outdoor fields...

Glad it got worked out. Makes things a lot more convenient. Thanks for working with him. SniperzDen is quite possibly the best field due to it's size and variation in landscape. Loosing it would suck.

WOW, I dont want that place gone, if we don't put an affort to it they are going to closed it just like they did to the one in salem, what ever reason still is going to be gone, all the fields or most are bio only, so why buy regular ammo, common sense.

Don't mess this up people. In case you're not taking this to heart.... You are NOT special. The rules DO apply to YOU! If you think you can get away with it, you are WRONG. Keep your personal integrity and the integrity of the field/farm intact.

Well that's risky business. A part of me thinks that removing the field ammo requirement will open up to more incidents happening, and we'll lose the field. But then again, I suppose that even if you require field ammo somebody could still break the rules and sneak in their own ammo.

It seems kind of ridiculous that we're all too cheap to buy a single bag of ammo to play on a field we enjoy. Whatever. I don't necessarily like it, but I would buy field ammo at a good field for a good game if I had to.

This is our land. Lets respect it. There is no reason not to use BIO ammo outside. Thanks to all for making these skirms possible.

I agree with Matt, there's too much at stake and like the warning says it only takes one asshole to get us banned from the field. I don't like having to buy field ammo everytime I play at Sniperzden but at least I'd be playing.

Biggest problem I see with all of this is we as a community need to Police ourselves and others (meaning educate) not just ammo but the trash on the field and camping areas. If you see trash pick it up and throw it away, if we keep places cleaned
up we won't have these problems.

Sniperzden= best play field in NW...lets keep it that way. A suggestion, any admin has the absolute right to check a players ammo at any time. Lets not mess this one up.

I think it'll work out with also having a policing system in place that players are free to report any others on suspicion of their ammo and it will immediately be checked by an admin. Gotta put the fear of god into kids these days.

The problem with policing in game is that you can't say which is bio and which isn't by sight.
Back in the day you could, but now with all the different ways that companies manufacture bio ammo, it's somewhat impossible.
In fact, the manufacturing companies could even be just putting a bio label on normal ammo and never know.

The only way to insure that everyone is using bio ammo only is the field ammo only rule that was proposed.
