Sorry to bump an old post but I'll be down from Seattle this Friday - Sunday and I'm bringing all my gear and was hoping to get in some playing time. I'm buddies with Skunk Ape and a few of the other Forgot Sons (Went to Calapooia and South together).

Anyway, are there any random wooded areas anyone can recommend?

My brother-in-law says people play paintball in the woods behind his house and the Sheriff on the end of the street doesn't care.

Here's the place:

Thanks in advance!

if its public property it would be best if you get permission to play there first

unfortunately it was way too wet to play anywhere but I asked around and the only people ever back in those woods are little kids playing airsoft and teenagers late at night smoking weed. I'll figure out who to ask for permission when I'm down this summer.

If you're willing to drive a few miles theres plenty of open space west of Corvallis. The Mary's Peak area for instance.

Lots of privately owned timber companies, in that area, warehauser, forest capitol, starker etc..., go to the nearest forest service office to Corvallis and you can get a map that will show you who owns what and go from there. Most allow hunting and daytime activities. No camping, fires or ATV's due to past abuse. usually a dusk to dawn curfew. The companies that I have contacted have been very helpful / cooperative.
