How do you treat your airsoft guns? Also, worn or pristine?

I treat my airsoft guns like I paid for them myself. I don't treat them like rentals, or toy nerf guns. I don't know about the rest of those posting that toss them and abuse them, but the cash I spent on them is worth not beating the crap out of them.

Also treating them good, cleaning, regular maintenance means mine usually don't fail mid game.

I just finished painting my gun and need to clear coat it, but after that I don't think I'll ever do touch up on it.

Like i said, usually. That was the mosfet failing in it anyways. I've fixed it now. But i don't toss them, bang them around or anything like that.

I don't see any reason to purposely abuse your gun to add more wear and tear, they get enough of that on their own if you use them often. Those "pre-worn" battle veteran Javelin AEGs are hilarious. An AK with a pre-worn look, that's sacrilege. AK wear has to be earned. That's what gives your gun character.

My first AK I had I purposely aged it. Now, several years later, I realize that there really was no point - they will get that way, especially considering the "quality" of the finishes on airsoft guns. There's still a couple of things I do to get a more "authentic" look, but that's usually just using some good ol' fire on specific parts in order to give it the appropriate image of overuse (this works best on handguards). The rest of it just happens by my playstyle. Funnily enough, though, I've never phsyically broken any of my airsoft guns - parts have broken, sure, but they're always still functional. I just feel that if you don't push yourself and your equipment to their limits, it's just not as fun..

I treat mine like a gun I'd like to stay functional and it gets marks of its own. I don't go out of my way to wear my stuff in.

I don't purposely abuse mine. I perform maintenance on them after games so they'll continue functioning. But I don't baby them either, so the wear and tear on them is from use.

I've spent over a grand on mine. Paid for it all by myself by working shitty jobs. I still beat it up.
