That's amazingly convoluted. Snipers may only safety kill with their bolt at exactly 50' ? You're going to get a lot of kids yelling "I'm 40 feet away!" and opening up.Why require people to use safety kills? Requiring accepting them makes sense, but requiring they be used at certain distances just creates potential mess.

Your interpretation skills are weak, he's saying that a bolt turner can call a safety kill up to 50' otherwise they need to use a sidearm or a lesser FPS weapon. If engaging over 50' feel free to fire at will with a bolt. Anyone who can't judge that distance needs to stick with a regular AEG. This rule solves the issue of someone thinking they can light you up with a 550FPS rifle at close range which is a good. No convolution here

If you are at 50' take the shot. If not use a sidearm or auto secondary.

OK let me be clear about this issue, as Safety Kills are becoming a hot topic again lately.
IT IS NOT A REQUIREMENT TO CALL A SAFETY KILL. It is a courtesy jesture. It should be a very rare situation that causes you to call Safety Kill. It should not be something that occurs for you every event you attend. The engagement should usaully end in someone being hit or falling back. After all, that is kind of the point of playing with guns that shoot. As long as it can be done safely and you are beyond the Minimum Engagement Distance, you should take the shot.

Minimum Engagement Distances:This means you cannot shoot someone inside of the stated distances for safety reasons, ie: 25' for AEG, AGBB, AAG. This applies in every situation and engagement. You can shoot someone with a side arm up to 10' as long as you avoid the head and face.(Plenty close IMO). It is not safe to shoot someone at 10' in the head or face with a sidearm. You do this and you may be done for the day.

Question: My gun shoots 270. Is my minimum engagement distance still 25'?

Yes. I am drawing the line at 25' for all automatic guns. I figure that's as close as most outdoor firefights get anyway. If you want to shoot someone closer you will have to cap them with a sidearm.

Really looking forward to this event, going to hopefully have my new loadout ready for it! If not, oh well!
