The interest is there. You'll get the 50 people you want, most likely.

But if you want help on a specific event, I suggest starting a thread in the team lords forum section or whatever it's called and start fleshing it out.

Yes. Where do I sign up? Some of the most fun I've had was at 5RAC's OP Enduring Horizon. An outdoor scripted mil-sim competition that challenged teams to scripted objectives with actor OPFOR. For games like these, it's not all about massive crowds and big money, it's about providing an amazing memorable realistic experience for a smaller group of people.

Sounds like it'd be pretty nice, but yeah getting people to cooperate might be an issue, not sure. If it happens though, I might be in.

So it'd be like a CQC competition, but outdoors.

I'd be down.

Welshy McSheeplove wrote:Yeah, I don't think that this would be a huge event, or at least if it was it'd end up being a clusterfuck, since you'd have too many COD kids going lonewolf or deciding to ignore orders.

I think you could get 50 or so people to come to something like this. Hell, I know at least 15 off the top of my head that would jump at going to a game like this.

nah I wasn't saying it had to be huge or close to be worth putting it on. Just wasn't sure if all the work that would be invested in this would be rewarded by people attending it (50 being a good number). Not everything has to be huge but 10 or 15 is kinda unfulfilling.

Sounds good.
I have a lot of stuff written up for just this. Will be putting on some small ones this summer. All of them are aimed at 20-30 people max. Some for 10.

Well if you need actors to play OpFor, I can definitely help with that.

973rd COBs taught me well how to pretend to be an angry/scared insurgent/noncombatant.

I have a supplier, I can't remember the link but I will find it.

[Edit]

Here we go!

Al Hannah Clothing
Simply Islam Clothing

The 973rd COBs used these places a lot and got a lot of fantasticly authentic attire. If anyone is looking to get more OpFor gear, I strongly suggest checking these places out.

As a side note, condor chest rigs look great on top of the whole durka kit.

Craigslist is an amazing place to find hooker's.....I mean actor's......Wait no had it right the first time. Craigslist is an amazing place for hookers. Just offer free food and they will come.

yeah, I think the best thing to do is just run one and then afterwards bounce cons/pros and new ideas to improve.

If you want / need a hand writing scenarios, let me know. I've put together / been a part of a decent bit of "interact with the locals" training.

Also, I have a full set of man-jammies (with pockets in the front and back for SAPI plates), and a full Afghan police uniform that I can rock if you need an extra actor, assuming I don't have drill that weekend.
