You can call me Mr. Fox

Postby Mr. Fox » Thu Feb 09, 2012 7:34 pm

Actually I would have you call me just Fox but someone already took that name so now I gotta be formal and have everyone refer to me as Mister.

You can also call me a Airsoft noob. Heard about the sport years ago. Looks like it may be fun but also looks like you might need a large investment to get started.

My main interest in Airsoft right now is for using them as props. I'm planning on making a low budget short film with some quasi-army gun fighting. We are currently planning to shoot some teaser footage and then after raising more funds do a longer short. I will probably buy a blow back pistol for some close ups but the budget for the teaser will likely not be enough to arm all the actors.

If anyone is interested in lending some guns or know some secure realistic safe places to run around with them around here in Pdx it will be appreciated. We might be able to fit you in some action scenes. If you can act and bring some extra skills like martial arts training there might even be a part for you. If you've got some film making knowledge we'll be glad to have your help too.

Hope this message didn't sound too much like spam.

Welcome to AP, You came to the right place.

Many guys here are former military that might know martial arts, but I don't think there the acting type.(Who knows I might be wrong)
There are fields owned by some guys here on AP that might let you film on there property. You just need to contact them. You can pick up props in the bone-yards of some websites, like Airsplat or Airsoft GI so you don't have to spend to much.

I hope this helps, good luck on the filming and what not.

If you are going to ask people to volunteer to be in your movies, they might want to know how old you are, for real. Unless you really are 100, in that case get off this website and enjoy the rest of your days on this earth ;)

Old enough to be alive when the original Star Wars Trilogy came out but too young to see all of them in the theater.

I'm just looking forward to appearing on Willard Scott's Today Show Birthday list.
