Rounds Fired - The Debate

Postby Riddick » Thu Feb 09, 2012 6:58 pm

Okay here is a new topic (obviously)

How many rounds do you typically use at the following:

A.) Skirm

B.) Event

C.) Midcap Only events

D.) Midcap/Highcap Combo Events

I realize there are alot of variables to this. Just answer in average terms.

Don't use hi-caps.

I feel these questions Rick are asking are part of something.

Skrim 1000
Event 1000-2000
Midcap only ????? Never used them yet
High caps 1000-2000

Some games I fire 1 midcap of 100 rounds.
Some games I end up crawling around on my belly with a knife because I'm out of bb's 2 hours in. (Roughly 1100 rnds later)
It all depends on how much fun I'm having.

CQB: Roughly 150 rounds / minute with realcaps, closer to 300 per minute with hicaps

Outdoors: 7500 rounds per skirm / event (3 SAW drums)

No sh*t. It's a survey for business. And Rick, I like how you go directly to the players for their input. You don't see many guys in your position taking the initiative all by themselves. :)

Usually 500 to 2K. Skirmish vs OP doesn't matter too much, rather how objective based the game is. More objective based equals less rounds fired.

Usually less than 2,500. I think 500 round packs of ammo would be a good number.

Lately, 1K to 2K be it a skirmish or event. More if I'm shooting a support weapon. I put out 3K rounds with the 240 at a scappoose skirm in 20-30mins.

I use hi-caps only.

I used to burn 6k now I burn around 2-3k per event.

What you guys would call a skirmish (around 30 guys) are what we call events over here...we play for a solid 6hrs everytime, so I burn about the same amount.

All that to say, I am upgrading my gun and it will take fewer rds to hit someone in the future.
