Turds?

Tards?

Choose one. ;)

If you know somebody that's using non-bio ammo, just tell them not too and explain why.

How is this even a "thing"? I'm going to shoot the same amount of ammo regardless of where I buy it. Actually, having ammo available on-site means I might actually shoot more, since I don't have to worry about running out of ammo midway through a game and not being able to resupply.

If the event hosts do bulk-buys, it means that there is an additional source of revenue for them, which is theoretically available for either better props or reducing the cost of entry.

If the field owners do the bulk buy and resale, it theoretically increases the amount that they have for field improvements or (again, theoretically) they can afford to lower the field fees (or maybe come closer to making a profit, I don't know their business).

It seems like the players end up benefitting more than they lose out in the long run. Sure, folks end up with half-full bags of ammo. But it's not like the field owners or event hosts can't just take the half-full bags and slap them closed with a couple of wraps of leopard-print duct tape and sign them with a sharpie. Or, break the bulk-bags down to smaller quantities before they sell them. Little snack-sized ziplock baggies with 300 rounds for $x instead of 5k bags.

Seems like a pretty reasonable change, really. I support this.

Typing on a kindle on the front of a boat while underway, does not equal great spelling or grammer, not that I care the point was made. And I do go to skirms that are all over 20 bucks, almost every weekend, and have to buy field ammo, its how it works here, and to derail more host something don't phony pony.

Obviously this is a negative thing for airsoft in Oregon. It is weird to see people try and spin it as a positive. It adds a level of complexity for Riddick that I'm sure he isn't in love with and it complicates things for players as well. I'm happy that Riddick is doing the best he can to minimize the disruption of this change.

PS: I don't see why anyone has non bio ammo anymore. Bio is just as cheap.

I haven't paid for ammo in years. Now I have to buy it when I don't even need it. *shrug*

They dont make biodegradeable .36g's for snipers, and Sniperzden has an exception rule for that. Does that still apply if I bring the bbs in a sealed brand-new package?

Why do people have the audacity to complain about biodegradable BBs when they're in one of the largest airsoft communities in the United States, playing at a huge field with 150+ people? If you are one of the people complaining in this thread, think about it, is it really that big of a deal!?

It is very simple. Buy the ammo at the field and play... or don't bother signing up for the game. If people don't like it then they need to come to terms with not participating in some great games.

I don't really care that much as long I can get heavy BBs like .40s at a reasonable price and in small quantities.

I buy most of my ammo at events, And usually never use all of it there, So id really be buying 5000 rounds and only use 1000 to 1500 and i wouldnt be able to use the left overs at most AP events?

How is requiring the use of bio BBs on a FARM (it's primary purpose is not an airsoft field, it is a farm) a bad thing for Oregon? I'm fully failing to see how this is negative in any way.

Bio BBs are marginally more expensive than regular BBs. Riddick is going to stock them, so people can use them, and stock up on them. Get the f**k over it and buy it. If you don't want to spend the money on bio BBs, don't go to the games.

Okay, I want to make sure I accurately understand the NEW policy for Sniperzden:

"You must buy your ammo from the host at the game or provide to them evidence that your ammo is biodegradeable, namely in the form of a new tamper-proof sealed bag every time you attend a game."

If there is any caveat to either of those conditions, then I'm not exactly sure what this accomplishes.

Since I'm just now burning through the last of a stock of 35,000 rounds purchased three years ago, it's time to go buy a new sealed bag anyway.

That being said, I rapidly envision myself owning 10+ partially used bags and not being able to use any of them because they've all been opened. I'm not a high volume shooter, especially if I'm running a bolt-action platform.

We are still working out all the details.

It could be very cut and dry and be a new bag every time and it must be the field ammo.

However because I support you guys to the best of my ability, I in turn try my best with the owners to come up with some sort of leniency for us so you are put in the best possible situation. While I host there alot, this just doesn't affect me, it effects all the other hosts that host there as well.

There is not a perfect system to this. I don't believe it exists. But I have a few ideas I can implement with their approval that I think will appease a majority of ya.
