Good game, everybody.

I had to leave at 3:00 once I put together the time table for where I needed to be by 5:30 and everything I needed to do between the game and my evening event. That being said, I had a great time, and was pretty much ready to doze off the entire evening.

I have somebody's radio. PM me to get it back.

The usual complaints:

"CALL YOUR HITS, ASSHOLE!" -- seriously? Shoot until they do. BBs are cheap. I can give you some if your budget is tight.

Safety kills are a "I'm going to seriously injure someone" tool, not a "I don't want to shoot you in the back" tool.

Stop sitting around and jibber jabbering...it looks silly and makes me want to go Rambo on the enemy...that being said, I think I'm done playing assaultman for a while...my knees aren't what they once were...

Radios are a tool, not a crutch. You don't need one to play the game, nor do you need to be able to monitor the squad leader channel to know what's going on...

The folks complaining about nothing to do -- plenty of bad guys need killing. And, yes, your mission consists of sitting here and guarding this patch of dirt. No, you will not know everything that is going on. Welcome to milsim.

Gameplay mechanics:

Casualty cards are a great idea, but the instructions were confusing, especially when I opened the first card and was told to apply a bandage I didn't have. I didn't mind the wait times, but maybe I just had good luck with the cards -- I'm not old, but I'm certainly not in the same shape I was 10 years ago, and it was time to sit and chat with folks and regroup.

Boundaries need to be clearly communicated, and there needs to be more admins -- a ten minute wait for an admin to show up means the problem has either long since been sorted or has devolved into fisticuffs. It's a recurring problem and no direct reflection on Phantom Fury's efforts -- you guys did great with the manpower available to you.

If someone's shouting at you that you're shooting into the CCP or the Hospital, both of which were clearly communicated as "NO FIRE" zones, stop what you're doing and go somewhere else.

Grenades either need to all be treated identically or not used -- had a distraction device used on me as a grenade (with amusing results). Had at least one metal prop grenade sighted on the field. Also need to communicate whether the "kill radius" includes players protected by solid fortifications or entrenched. I'd really rather have grenades that went bang than tennis balls being hurled at me.

Did not notice any issues with target identification. That'll be the first time I haven't seen blindfiring or "WHAT SIDE ARE YOU ON?!", although I did very nearly get myself shot by my own team.

Chrono consistency -- this is an issue for me. I know that I chrono'd low, and with wild variation in the numbers. The response was "Yeah, this chrono sucks." Since I'd already driven 45 minutes to be at the game and paid for admission, I wasn't really in the mood to debate the issue. I heard plenty of folks talking about how their rifles had chrono'd way low or higher than they'd ever chrono'd before.

I found a bungee sling on the COS side, looks like a cut one-point with a clip zip tied to the end. PM me if this is yours.

Overall I had a really good time.

The casualty card system to me was pretty easy to figure out after the first time, if you paid attention. 1st time, sit at the CCP. Second time. Sit at the CCP and then sit at the Hospital. pretty simple. I used this time to reload and if I needed to grab something from camp, to do it then.
Granted, most of the time, the walk to the CCP for us(COS)wasn't that far, so it's not too bad.
I thought it worked pretty well and added more to the game.

I didn't really have any issues with people not calling hits or anything like that. But then again, I just assume I'm not hitting them.

The only issue I had was when Bad Karma and I went around to the back and ended up ambushing some UAF as they were respawning. Then we were told we were "out of bounds", so we moved back "in bounds" and the UAF forces proceeded to advance toward us from where we were just told we were out of bounds? Not a big deal, but it was a tad annoying.
It did turn out to be the best part of the game, though. That and killing Matt in our last stand.

Only bad things were kids not moving up. At one point I was grabbing kids and shoving them. hah.
Also, our squad(Red1) ended up just completely split up and floating around for the most part. Wasn't so bad. Something I guess we should have worked on. Having Zerg and I start in the middle of the field and no one else on our squad responding to comms.

The props looked great. I never saw any of them do anything since I wasn't around when they were used. But they looked good. hah.

The only truly bad parts were waking up with frozen toes and getting really loopy/about falling asleep on the drive home.

Great game. Looking forward to the next.

This was the best run OP I have been to in a long time...Thank You to Kevin and all of Phantom Fury! Your events just keep getting better!

I agree with what's been said already...spawn system is neat, just simplify...field medics, good idea. Matt's comments for spreading OPFOR around, also good idea. No break for lunch? AWESOME!!!! I have never been to any OP that did not lose participants and momentum after a lunch break. Not one. Ya wanna eat? Bring it! The real military (who we are simulating) does not have someone to grill burgers and dogs for them when they are in the field!

To the COS player late in the day on top of the hill in the bunker who I yelled at for lighting me up after I was dead...my apologies. I in fact did NOT have my dead rag fully on as I said I did, when I came outta the woods after you shot me. You had every right to shoot me again not knowing my intent or status. The simple truth is I was frustrated to have been shot, and loose contact with my unit and I took it out on you. It was poor form and bad sportsmanship on my part. Again, my apologies.

Kudos to the pilots! You guys had the tedious job sitting around waiting for us to EVAC your asses...thanks for hangin' in...and for still making it realistic once we found you!

Again, a great day! Muscles hurt so good!!

Good times were had sitting on my a$$ at the CCP.

A COS member tossed an inert training grenade (real steel in the most literal sense). You're not getting it back and you're a douche bag for using it. I see that you didn't want to use some dinky tennis ball, but tennis balls are great because if you bean someone in the head, they won't die :P

Was it tossed into the log fort next to the COS spawn?

Pretty good game.

Phiz: Sorry about the dome shot, but that was the only part of you that presented to me.

Something that I see game after game and it bugs the shit out of me: If you can't see the person who shot you, then you must not be hit. If I shoot you with my bolt action, I'm looking at your through a 3.5x scope. I'm watching the bb fly and impact on you. Just because you can't see me, doesn't mean you aren't hit. Please call any and all hits.

I had a great time running my bolt action (I forgot how much fun it is). If anyone was upset by my yelling at them, to bad. Hunkering down behind a tree 30' out of the other teams range doesn't do anything. Fire and move, that's the only way to take ground.

Hey Phantom Fury,

Thanks for the great game. I think most of the guys who posted agree though...

1) too long of a wait period when shot (I would like to see it removed)

2) need field medics (I don't think you need actors for this though...just make so players can do it)

I really liked the respawn system, but I think it would be greatly improved if the above changes were made. Especially #1. You said longest possible wait period was 5 minutes..., but it was more like 10+ by the time you had waited, then walked back to CCP and then walked back to where you died. Also, the COS CCP was far closer to their front lines than the UAF's. Not complaining, but it was true. We had to walk up and down a fairly large hill every time. My knees were SUPER tired by the end of the day.

The taking of the village fort took forever! I played that side pretty much the whole day...I think it should be allowed to chuck grenades inside the one log fort inside the village because it is virtually impossible to take otherwise. That was the way we took it in the end, but I wasn't a part of the assaulting forces...since I was on the right side of the fort.

Thanks to all the actors and doctors who did their part...I know I would have been bored to death, but you guys were awesome.

I personally spent $50 on gas (only because Desh paid for the other $50) and $25 on registration. This averages out to $15 an hour of actual playing time...not including any ammo, grenades etc... All that to say, I didn't like how the game started late (typical I know) and then ended early. I feel pretty sorry for the guys who payed day of.

This was my second AP game and I loved the raffle, it was really cool. Next time could you pick my number though...??? :)

I loved this field it is way better than Splat Action. I liked how open it was with far few brambles and thorns...

Overall, I think it was 9/10 the only improvement would be the respawn system so you were back in the game faster and closer to the fighting.

Also, last thing...I thought everyone was a good sport...there were hardly any guys who lost it and almost everyone was saying good job to the guy who took them out. That made for a really fun and great environment.

Thanks so much.
