Sub $5 Opforthewin Silverton Skirm

Postby Cyph34r » Fri Feb 03, 2012 12:17 am

Due to the postponment of our competition, we're hosting a skirm in silverton.

When: February 11, 2012
- Leaving the staging area to play at 1130, play until 1500 or 1600 depending on how everyone feels.
What: A freeish skrimish in silverton with capture the flag and control point gameplay.
Where:
2634 Lorence Rd
Silverton, OR 97381

Fps Limits/Engagement rules:
AEGs - 1.5J (approximately 400fps with a .20g bb) [Minimum Engagement Distance - 20 feet]
Close Range Weapons/Sidearms - 1J (Approximately 330fps) [Minimum Engagement Distance - 5 feet]
DM Rifles - 2J (approximately 460fps) [Minimum Engagement Distance - 60 feet]
Bolt Action - 3J [Minimum Engagement Distance - 60 feet]

Waivers:
Over 18 - [here]
Under 18 - [2 Page] [1 Page]
Field - OFFLINE
If you already have a waiver on-file with us, you need not fill out a new one. Players under 18 years of age are not subject to this, and must bring a new waiver, signed by a parent or legal guardian, to all games. Silverton field waivers are included in our file system.

Price: An amount of money.

Why the price?
Some of our smaller games are now going to carry either a "pay what you want" pricetag, or a standard $5 pricetag. We will not be hosting as many "free" games, but we do have one exception:
For any of our "Skirms", anybody who brings a "new airsofter" to the game will get in for free, as will their guest. This only applies to our sub $10 games.
What does "An amount of money" mean?
An amount of money was suggested to me in AP chat. Bring a handful of change, or a dollar, or the money you saved when you decided to only get one energy drink on the drive to the field, or whatever, the only "amount of money" I might get a little annoyed with is single coins, bringing a penny is kind of cheating the system, and you should remember that the more money I get hosting these events, the more I put back in to Opforthewin's prop and equipment stores.

Gameplay:
I'll be bringing my control points and flags, and gameplay will be a warm-up round of team deathmatch, followed by some control point and capture the flag play.

Probably? Its not the right season for bees, so i'd assume there will be very few. Also, this is going to be on a different part of the field.

Bees are not an issue during winter.

Of course I speak of normal bees and not aqua bees.

This.

Set fire to wherever they're nesting.

I'm still gonna show up though, Silverton is fun!

As with all of our skirms, we will be splitting teams on game-day, based on what patterns are there. If you want to play with someone, make sure you're wearing the same pattern.

Why not just use colored tape.

They don't seem to be a danger, but I don't trust their kind, and do not appreciate the gentrification of my trampoline.
