'Ello all. I just wanted to post a hello here, introducing myself. My name is Mike (my earned callsign is indeed GHOST, a name I've had since 95'), I'm an older Navy vet who's been itching to get back into the field for a very, very long time. I saw some action back in Bosnia in 95' and well, I'm sure a lot of you may know, that'll change a man. Well, I haven't been the same since and although I don't long for those days back, I do and have been looking for something like this for a very long time now.
I was invited to an airsoft event a little over a year ago by a friend up in Salem and I've been absolutely hooked on it ever since, at least the idea of it. Played a couple of rounds of paintball quite a few years ago but it's just not the mil-tac-sim that airsoft can be, and so well, I'm here now for better or worse.
Now that I've got the money coming in (taxes), I'll be picking up my first AR and sidearm. Thanks to some of the members here for helping me out in my search, I'll definitely be able to do that up at Blackwater on the 25th of Feb, so I look forward to meeting and greeting some of you then. In the mean time, I'll try not to be too much of a nub. I do read, heh, so I've gone over quite a few of the stickies before posting anything too ridiculous.
In the end, I look forward to the good times to come and the new friendships to be made.
