Better buy up any scars if you want them because they are getting pulled off dealer shelves as we speak.

This includes DBOYS, Echo 1 and VFC SCARS

Evike is now offering one of their box of awesomeness and what is a majority of the guns.... SCAR Rifles...

Is it just me or do I sense a Cybergun boycott coming on?

Can somebody explain what Cybergun has to do with this? I understand that they are the middle man for getting realistic trademarks on airsoft replicas, but I didn't think DBOYS, or Echo-1 had trades used by FN Herstal?

Doesn't G&G produce the SCAR too?

Although they did have the license to produce the rifle...

Cybergun is just making a douchey but reasonable business decision, and FN Herstal is just defending their patent - annoying for the rest of us, but reasonable.

It's not trademark, it's trade dress.

Also, it's a business move by Cybergun. If no-one else sells anything that even looks like a SCAR, they feel like they will move more of their own product.

Keep in mind that they could have put this suit in motion at anytime, but they chose to issue it halfway through the SHOT show. Publicity move.

So this means that anything resembling FN Herstal's SCARs are to be removed immediately right?

Yep, let's boycott Cybergun. Let's boycott a business that follows international law in regards to trademark and trade dress. Let's instead support a less than legal system of manufacture and distribution that allows nameless Chinese manufacturers to build and sell replicas of these weapons and totally bone over the people who paid good money to legally obtain the rights to those weapons...Not to mention the fact that the actual designers of the weapons are receiving not a red cent for these illegally produced replicas. And is it any real suprise that real gun manufacturers have such a low opinion of the airsoft industry and it's customer base?

You people calling for a boycott of Cybergun for following the law and being assholes about protecting their business rights are bleeding stupid. While they are distasteful and drive up the cost of select models, they are legal and the entire industry would be wise to fall in line with their drive to conform to international law.

I don't want to pay $60 more for a gun just to have "licensed" trades like they did to the G&G SCAR and WE SCAR.

It's all about $$$.

and if you want to boycott cybergun then never buy a CA again because Cybergun ownes Spartan Imports. The USA Distributor of CA
