Surfire
Magpul

and a few other companies are manufacturing them in a bid to win a GOV contract i am sure.

Except everyone says the mags are shit, so they're using 30rd mags for now.

well i do not listen to "everyone"..... i am pretty positive that you do not speak to or for everyone.

the shooters i speak to that do use them have nothing but good things to say about the surefire ones. i have heard no news on the magpul ones, i dont think they are even past prototype phase... so i am positive in my statements.

nice troll attempt though.
Promoters who charge $40 for a game they just copy and paste, does not give a crap about you, they care about money.

Nothing trolling there. That's why the military hasn't used them. And the opinions I read are those in the military who used the shit in combat, not at the range.

I'd heard that the SureFire mags were built as part of the IAR project, and in response to guys who have had to deal with the BETA C-Mags. Which, frankly, are temperamental little b****es out on the range. Fun, but not something I'd ever want to try to use in a firefight.

I've heard good things about the SureFire ones in testing, but wasn't aware that they had made it into the supply system for issue yet.

Actually, checking the SF NSN page, they haven't been assigned an NSN yet.

Well, I would rather run with three mags holding 900rds than a whole bunch of mid caps. So, yes..:)

I paid $5 a piece for metal midcap magazines... I think they go for $10 now (if Riddick even has anymore in stock).
