I carry over 1000 rounds worth of AK mags in my standard loadout.

those are the magazines that make a open bolt IAR even a possibility for any troop carrying said platform.

Surfire
Magpul

and a few other companies are manufacturing them in a bid to win a GOV contract i am sure.

Since it's a replica of a real-world magazine, I don't see a problem with it, especially for folks who want to set up an IAR build.

Hicap v Midcap is a discussion in itself, but I think the product itself is kinda cool.

at games where your able to carry 2 high caps, or unlimited mids, one of these may make a difference.

looks stupid? what's stupid is that the 300rd high cap mags is smaller than the 30rd STANAG mags
i think the mag looks great, hopefully other manufacturers will make these too.

I don't get it why would you want that if you can unlimited mid caps. I guess they wanted to make a drum mag that didn't look like a drum mag.

But honestly, why would anybody use highcaps? I think it's kinda fun to reload (whether it is mid-caps or low-caps), and it immerses you more into the gameplay.

High caps allow you to carry (and therefore fire) more rounds per mag. Also easier to reload the mag.

This. I'm not sure if he showed or said, but I'd like a midcap in that size that held that many rounds. Carrying one as my last mag would be fun.

I would love to see a 250 round midcap in this shape. You'd either need a really really good quality spring or dual feed chambers, but that would be really cool. It would be to the real world 60 round mags what our 150 round midcap is to a STANAG 30 rounder.

US Palm now makes quad stack AK mags. They only have 2 right now, they make a 30 rounder that is the length of a 20 round double stack, and a 45 round that is the length of a 30 rounder. I would love to see these in airsoft as well since I own an airsoft AK
