What's this?

A simple moderately cheap way to turn a AEG to a GBB?

NO WAI!!!

Call the surgeons and tell them to take the day off, because I'll be doing all the operating now.

There's a point where this needs to stop, and we've clearly passed it

The GBBR itself isn't expensive... It's the mags. And this system kills the whole reason most people get GBBRs.

Most people get a GBBR to have more realistic features, such as full travel charging handle, working bolt catch and a more solid trigger/selector system.

It's a cool idea, but it seems kinda silly.

So I can now spend $140 on a proprietary GBB gearbox. I guess that's cool. Isn't a full-up GBBR only like $300?

How much are the magazines? It appears that the system uses a different magazine than the WA magazines, if I compare the cutouts and ports of a WA magazine and the GHK magazine pictured. Sure, the page says "WA style", but I wanna see someone use a WA magazine with the GHK gearbox before I spend $140 on it, or tell me where to find the GHK magazines it will take.

I think he's talking about GBBR mags in general, not these mags specifically... I don't see why the price would be very different for these.

That's a great assumption, but this is a niche sport and this is a niche product...even a $25 increase in price above the "average" GBBR magazine begins to erase the benefits of this versus buying a full GBBR, nevermind the loss of the stuff that makes GBBRs "cool", as mentioned above.

There also appears to be the issue of magazine availability -- I can lay my hands on a WA-compatible magazine from about 5 different vendors (assuming I limit my shopping to stateside)...I still can't find anyone stocking these magazines. Granted, it's a new product, but what's the point of one low-cap magazine? Eh?
