I like my callsign. I'll never change it, especially since people know who I am.
At least the people that matter do.
Plus if you don't want to say the whole thing you can shorten it to 'Val' and I'll know you mean me *shrug*
As long as I can pronounce it and it's not something really, really awful, who cares. It's not like we're going to actually die while calling out that extra syllable.
