The mail-order bride is also a very important part of your load-out. She'll love you long time, or at least until you run out of money.

You sound bitter ;)

As for gear and uniforms, I would second the ebay option. The absolute key to finding great deals on ebay is patience. Learning how to use the different search options will help you greatly as well. I would recommend doing a search for "Russia" / "Russian" / "Soviet" etc. and narrowing the search to collectibles > militaria. You will have to sift through a metric buttload of medals and patches, but you will also find those items which most people do not because they are too specific in their searches. You can find really cool items by doing the same kind of search for other countries of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.

- Black Synthetic Ushanka

Does it matter if I get the gray or black?
and for the pin, would it be the star with the hammer and sickle, or the double headed eagle?

I've seen both colors in use. Grey is more common, though. Hammer and Sickle for Soviet Era and Early Russia. Double Headed Eagle for current Russia. The badges are more for barracks, parades, and stuffs. Russian soldiers take the badges off in combat, so they don't have a big golden target on their forehead.

Be sure not to forget the Telnyashka. Not only do they look good and work with the loadout but they are warn as hell, great during fall/winter airsoft.

Unless someone informs me otherwise.

As for the question about if there is a Russian/Spetsnaz team in the PacNW, yes - We (172Rota) are one, based on the MVD Spetsnaz. We're down in Grants Pass though so I dont know if that 'counts' for you.
Having website troubles at the moment, but it is www.172rota.com
Forum link is in my signature.

Our uni's are based in OD or Flora, sometimes Lesnaya.

Whatever happened to Niall and that Russian team? They seemed pretty big and then just vanished... Anyone know the story?
