Thanks guys, I very much appreciate the input. I didn't think I had anything on that would offend, but like I said, seeing this thread made me think twice. I'll just remember...."sand in the vag" and won't let it get to me.

Thanks again!

For me "Impressions" stray away from the adrenaline pumping live fire action of the sport, and travel down the road to the realm of the ultra nerdy dress up "Re-enactors".

Here's some food for thought:

Why not do an impression of yourself as a badass. With the right gear that perfectly suits your playing style. Then get out there and prove it.

Reenactors are ultra nerdy? Obviously you have little to no experience.

You're right. I have no reenactor experience. Thanks for the compliment!

at 5' 7", there is no badassedness going on here. An impression gives a clear destination for gear AND it provides insight as to what is most comfortable on the field (if they wear it all day, it MUST be more comfortable than some.) Seeing as I am a noob, I know I'm going to need a goal (both in skill and gear.) Impressions provide [a goal] for me.
If $400,000 a year is low-class, I'm totally f***ed.

Size is not a factor. It comes down to effectiveness on the field. I think you will find that you will wind up with some of the same gear the pros use anyway, if you want to be the most effective on the field. There's a reason they use certain loadouts. So use the pros as a guide of what to try out. That doesn't mean you have to copy them to the point of impersonation.

Have fun getting your gear together and see ya on the battlefield.

So you have an established opinion of people involved in something you have absolutely no experience with?

Good job, buddy.

 No. I have seen reenactors in action. Pretty lame. I am entitled to my opinion. It shouldn't stop any Reenactors, LARPS or what have you from going out and having a darn good 'ol time. Enjoy.

I never said you weren't entitled to your opinion.
I'm just insinuating that it's ignorant.

Cool I was there too for desert storm / shield. Not into reenacting though. To each his own.
