When wet, uniforms get dark and even woodland is too dark.
For a passive camo, it's better to be light than dark. MARPAT sticks out because it's too brown and dark for Oregon, often times.
I think with everything around the base layer (uniform) being a darker, OD color (NOT RG), such as gear, facepaint/wrap, weapon (painted OD) and boots, this would make you pretty invisible.
