WHERE: Scappoose
PRICE: FREE
WHEN: January 8th, 2012 @ 10am. Get to the field by 9:30 so you can load your magazines and all the other crap smart players already did the night before. Expect the game to end earlier than a normal skirmish if there's snow. Tell your mom I don't know exactly when the game will end.
WHAT: Same as last year:
Each team will get one 48" clear acrylic tube. One person on the team needs to be designated as the carrier of this tube. This person is intended to be the tube carrier for the day, however, if that person gets sick of it, or they have to go, they may transfer it to another person only while at the respawn. If the tube carrier gets shot, he/she carries the tube back to respawn with them. The tubes aren't fragile, but they are still just acrylic, and they won't flex much. Sticking them in your gear (i.e. down the back of your vest) will likely bend them past their tolerances and break them (and seeing as I spend my own money to make props for the free skirmishes I host, I hope that can be appreciated).
What's the tube for and why does someone need to carry it? On the field, there will be some 6' sections of PVC. There will be 8 of each team's color scattered about. They'll be in plain sight (hanging from a branch, etc) for the most part, but you'll have to put a little effort into finding them on occasion. Your tube carrier is the only person allowed to touch/move/collect the colored tubes, and that person may only collect tubes of his team's color. This is so other teams can't hide/bury your team's PVC tube. We're playing fair, right? RIGHT? Okay.
Once your team has all the 8 pieces of PVC of your team's color in their tube, they need to escort the tube carrier to the center of the field where there will be a wooden stand they should put their tube into to win the game.
