My Call Sign is Book, 'cause I'm a writer. My runnin' buddy is Hard Drive, 'cause he's in "tech support". We run infrequently with a third fella who goes by Butcher, 'cause he is an actual meat butcher. And my brother's call sign is Padre', 'cause he's a priest.

I personally chose BEAR to begin with but someone else had it that has only posted once so the x's had to be added in. I chose the name because of a book series called the Vampire Earth and the Bears are seen as tanks. They are the big bad a$$ dudes who sit at the end of the bar and people pick fights with them because they are huge and they beat the guys a$$.

But I totally agree, I don't want to have to call someone over the radio and say something along the lines of "Pinkpandapedobear46969 give me a sit rep". For one I think the game would be over by the time I said the name and two I would most likely call someone else.

Just my two cents.

Although occasionally a slightly longer callsign comes in handy on comms for those that are too impatient to wait to actually start tx and all you hear is "rk"...

I get called "Al" all the time even if I went by my last name "Alger" I'd still probably still get called Al but I'm not that fond of "Al" so I think it's time for a change.
