I would love to have an ARES replica, and I have nothing against them. However, their products, (again in my opinion) are too expensive for their moderate preformance, need of maitenance, and alot of un-compatable parts.

I have a Umarex g36 which if i'm not mistaken is a re-branded ares g36. I have had nothing but problems with this rifle since I bought it. First game i took it to the twist cap to hold in the battery for the red dot scope fell off, It didn't lock into place tightly. Also the hop up bucking had a hole in it. I was using madbull .25s so i wasn't using cheap ammo. I don't know if it already had a tear in it that was exasperated by normal use, but I digress.

The second game i went to gears jammed took it to Outlet to have it looked at he said it was a motor adjustment. Third game Spur gear broke probably had something to do with the motor being out of adjustment. All mind you under a month of these things failing. Had the piston head replaced new gears had to get a new spring because it was shooting really under 400 once I had the piston head replaced. After that the hop-up unit was moving greatly varying my fps.

A couple weeks later hop up broke had to get a new one. From here on it was i thought having electrical issues not wanting to pull the spring in a fresh battery, motor getting hot , etc. A week ago I replaced the motor fixed all the issues i had electrical wise. Played today with it now it fires but only the first few shots are at full compression. The rest of them drop 25 feet in front of me. Overall I think that this is the worst rifle i have ever owned. I have had JGs that have preformed better than this. I should have just bought a kwa then modded it to be a full size g36 so i can make it a support weapon which is why i bought the full version.

I am INFURIATED on how much money i have spent on this rifle i spent 400 on it and another 400 in parts. The Parts that i do like are the quick change spring system, that's pretty much it. The external stuff that buys me about this rifle is that the red dot is so tiny you almost cant see it. As i posted further up the cap for the red dot battery compartment fell off first game.

I dislike the fact that you cant take off the red dot because it is molded into the scope. So i cant even replace the broken scope with a better one. Like other people said its proprietary parts that bug me as well i cant even find the spring tensioned pins for the body.

In closing I should not have to pay 400 for a rifle and have to spend another 400 in parts just to try to get it to work correctly.I HATE ares and will not recommend people buying anything from ares or umarex.

Edit: I will also send this to a couple other places, I have been meaning to write this for a while.
