Another recent order completed...next up will be a pair of issue ACU pants with slightly different modifications (cargo pockets removed, addition of cinch straps at ankles along with the basic FCHP conversion and calf pocket relocation).

Tru-Spec Rip-Stop 10-Pocket Multicam Pants with FCHP conversion (using khaki velcro for cinch straps with calf pockets re-located to upper legs and placed at an angle for better mobility..etc)

* I had to do light modifications to the original Tru-Spec knee pad stitching along each side of the knee pad slots as the space between each line of stitching was too narrow for the combat type pads to fit into the knee pad pocket slots. The upper line stitch portion of each knee pad pocket slot was cut out and the line stitch was lowered to 1/4 of the total amount that was previously there. Everything worked out great in the end.

If those are the Multicam I sent you, then they aren't Tru-Spec. The others were Ultra-Force, but this stuff was Propper.

No..those are for another dude (it was just a quick order for someone who just wanted their pants done). Your pants have been done for a while now...I'm working on your shirt now. It's weird...the RAID shirts always take longer then the combat shirts I started doing.

Working on your remaining order and a few of the older orders complete in the next 4 days.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON NASTY' AND DARIUS137'S UNIFORMS...I'VE SET ASIDE THE OTHER ORDERS IN ORDER TO GET YOURS DONE...SORRY ABOUT THE DELAY. I had a sudden influx of orders that came in and had to tend to those orders.

Another recent customer order request...some additions to the normal FCHP conversions:

ACU rip-stop pants with FCHP conversion, calf pockets re-located to upper center of legs, larger cinch straps installed for knee/legs, custom designed ankle cinch straps (2" foliage color hook and loop velcro used) and foliage color velcro loop attached as edge guards and attachment points for Crye Gen 3 combat knee pads to the knee hole edges * Photo display has Gen 1 pads...customer will be using his Gen 3 pads

* Crye Gen 1 combat knee pads are in the pants for illustration only

See if you notice anything different regarding my FCHP pants conversion, this time around....

And once again...Nick has been a spectacular customer to deal with..always communicative and a very knowledgeable person to have as a friend and comrade.

On to the next recent project for another customer...

Standard, non-rip-stop, DCU pants with improved FCHP conversion with double cinch straps and aded stitching at each side of the knee pads to make better knee pad retention pockets for customer supplied Crye Gen 1 combat knee pads

* these pants had stains on them from the user when I received them from him..you'll also notice my chalk marks on the combat pad pocket stitching...that comes off after the pants are washed

I've found the velcro straps near the knees to be completely useless. I wrap electrical tape around the pants under the knee pads to keep them up and in. Crye knee pads are not meant for low-crawling!

I mainly add them since I have left-over material from each knee cap cut-out. I'd rather have them on for customers so that they don't come back and say.."hey where's the cinch straps?"

The primary reason I add them is to help assist with keeping them straight on each knee not necessarily for anything else..but I do know what you mean...much of the time the straps...even with my new addition of having 2 straps per knee doesn't always work the best...but it does improve the placement of the pads from side to side as I've tested them myself. As time moves on, I've been making improvements as I go to solve each problem as they come up. My primary goal with these FCHP conversions now is to limit the movement of the combat pads...to keep them where the user wants them when they go to kneel or other positions..so they cover their knee caps the majority of the time.

I'm also starting to sew lines on each side of the combat knee pad pockets on each leg so that has really helped some of the problems with the people who have more baggy type pants..etc.

Dan..your next set (multicam set) will have the new addition of sewing the vertical stitch lines on each knee area so they should work better for you.

Thanks for the critique...it is always welcome.

Dan's Propper multicam uniform set converted to a RAID shirt and FCHP pants with improved vertical knee pocket stitching...RAID shirt also has added double pen pocket next to right arm shoulder pocket...name-tape velcro loop on front...military grade OD green velcro was added to this uniform that Dan supplied (via Vel-Tye):

A PITA to do...the stretch fabric is not orange like the photo shows...it's a coyote color when seen in person. I'm working on getting a better DSLR camera to get better photos in the future. The following project was a special request and is not normally available through my services due to the difficulty of the work...this is a USMC FROG uniform conversion to an AOR1 (Area Of Responsibility 1) NSW SEAL uniform using alternative coyote colored soft stretch fabric, authentic military grade khaki/tan velcro, Crey Precision Combat elbow pads and Crye Precision AirFlex Combat knee pads...lots of work...lots of time...lots of pain with lots of needle sticks in my fingers..ouch!!

Samples of the most recent calls sign/blood type order request from a SOTF (3rd Group, East Afghanistan) entity:

Image

* The shirt is an older Gen 1 Crye Field shirt, thus the reason for the contrasting color difference between the 2005-2007 Crye velcro color (khaki/tan) and the call sign velcro (tan/tan) that I used for this project. Primary colors worn in the photos below is Crye Precision multicam, MJK/khaki and tan (hat is the exception.. it is coyote tan):

Next, we have a Crye Precision Gen 2 Field Pant with an FCHP conversion (did these for myself and my son..the mod is available to anyone)...to be honest, I don't know why I don't see more of these coming in for the FCHP mod. If you made the decision to buy the field pant instead of the combat pants to save money...and now you want to run combat pads...my FCHP mod is a great way to go for the Crye Field pants (-:

The Multicam came out great, thanks!

I like the pen pocket near the bicep pouch.

Happy to hear that...originally, it was supposed to be a chem stick slot and a pen slot for you but I ended up sewing the stitch lines too close to each other and realized a chem stick wouldn't fit after sewing it up..lol! I hope you can find some use for it, though.

Starting to feel like a fellow brother of all you guys at the AP and Cascadian Airsoft sites and I like it :p
