JG M24

Discussion about sniper rifles or bolt-action.

JG M24

Postby Osprey » Mon Sep 26, 2011 11:34 am

I need a new rifle, and I'm also on a tight budget. The highest I can go on a gun is $100 plus the shipping cost. If there any suggestion on a gun the fits the price range please let me know.

Is this gun worth the money, and can it be upgraded to shoot 550FPS(upgrades will be made over time). I might buy this one later this monthhttp://www.airsplat.com/Items/AR-JG-KH002-M24.htm

It's APS2 compatible so you should fine upgrading it.

Sir, I recommend the Classified Ad section; either useful or useless depending on which location you are currently at. There are some good deals, ~10 bolt rifles now. A little above your original price point, but unlike retailers, they have already invested TLC and can sometimes do partial trades...

Don't get a bolt. To get both range and accuracy it takes a giant pile of money. The sniping role is no fun if your gun sucks. Get this instead, use the coupon code evikeftw for 16% off, so $110.

I'm might just consider it, but I'm a sniper not a rifleman. Hints I want a bolt. A bolt has more accuracy then a semi firing gun. What you call boring I call fun. Its like hunting, but with human prey.

cool, then save up a little more and get something decent. $100 isn't going to buy you anything worthwhile.

Personally I would stay away from the m24, but I had a bad experience once. if you are looking for under 100 I would go with this http://www.airsplat.com/Items/AR-WELL-MB06.htm The well mb06, I have seen a lot of these upgraded and shoot very well. They are type 96 internals with the exception to the trigger box, and the magazine is different, but barrel hop up and cylindar and internals are type 96 compatible.

If you do spend more $ to upgrade I would recommend eventually replacing the trigger if you want to go up to 550 fps, but no $ 100 bolt will be able to take 550 for very long. Cheapest one that I know of is the well mb05. I was pushing 595 fps on the stock trigger for 2.5K rounds until I replaced the box with an upgrade, and after inspecting the origional it was still fine with very little wear.

Its say its FPS was measured with .2BB's so what will the FPS be if I used .20

Reaper don't listen to the haters. Most (all) bolts will suck stock anyway.. You have to dump HOUR AND HOURS AND HOURS and oh $$$ too, into making it able to outrange the average AEG.

Sure, just realize the adventure/project you are about to embark on, is not a cheap nor short one.

Not sure why no one else has asked, unless I missed something, have you considered the JG BAR 10? I hear they're okay stock and can be tuned to greatness...
