Stupid f***ing kid. He goes and lies out his a$$, takes credit for the design and assembly of the gun, isn't even smart enough to give correct specs, and wonders what the problem is? It's called intellectual property. If some a$$ went on YouTube and started talking about how they wrote one of my songs, I'd be taking legal action. The kid should be glad he's not getting a letter from your lawyer.

He still COULD.
The MOOK, just sent me this:
it was a nice deal indeed, but i doubt a video with little views damaged your business. also on live leak you seem too be switching my words a bit around to make them sound negative. but you dont show the other once where im extremely kind too you but you still dont acknowledge that im being very civil in this? You could have said ''thank you for taking the video down i dont like people claiming my work'' and That could be the end of it but you just want to act like a 4 year old who just lost there favorite ball.

So Aye Said:

YOU don't get it. You claimed my hard work after I was nice to YOU, giving you that great $150 price. And you cannot be forgiven for it, EVER. It was a dumb thing to do, most people wouldn't do so...Because things like this could happen. You did it, live with it.

I quoted (and credited) you, Mr. Tech. I really like how you put it!
What would the teachers at Boyd E. Smith Elementary School think...their fine work, all for naught?

If he were caught plagiarizing in school, it would stay with him forever.

All said, I don't think you're going to get much satisfaction in hounding him. His defensiveness and ignorance will only serve to cause more undue stress. Yes, he was 100% in the wrong here. But I don't think you'll get anything out of him. Not even a sincere apology and admission that he was stupid.

What I would do is write a letter to his parents explaining how he plagiarized and how you're considering taking legal action. (Or alternately, how you're choosing not to take legal action.) Don't make any judgmental remarks. Ask them to take whatever disciplinary action they think appropriate.

If you leave his punishment in his parents hands, then you don't have to worry about the issue anymore. At some point, idiots like this kid just aren't worth the effort, stress, and elevated blood pressure.

But what do I know? Do what feels right to you.

for shit's sake, some kid made a boneheaded decision and then backpedaled when you called him on it. kids are stupid, they learn by making mistakes. way to take the high road and huff and puff about suing the fool.

Minigun contest?

Postby killbucket » Fri Sep 09, 2011 4:35 pm

But MAN-
I need some distraction.
Let's make this about everybody, grab the pattern.

Let's have a build a crappy cardboard mini contest. A fun almost no cost thing where throwing money will get your rig impounded.

Everything will fit if you use 1/4" cardboard!

You have to use a Wally world pop-gun automatic, you know, the little UZI and Steyr AUG, the stubby M4's the G36-super-C?

We could have three classes to enter:
1. Static display:
subclass: Rat. -Made from crap, no excuses to be made, ugly is beautiful.
subclass: Concours. -Made from better-looking crap, the aim is to have a nice presentation, despite using ...crap.

2. Motorized airsoft plant, Static barrel pack:
subclass: Rat...
subclass: Concours...

3: Full Metal Woodie*, spinning pack:
subclass: Rat...
subclass: Concours...

The prize can be a donation pool- I will put in a working G36C, my

Ya' all can decide where to take this, if anywhere, if adding prizes breaches rules here, a build-off will still be fun.

*Cardboard is wood.

Flesh it out, or skip this idea?

Aw heck, I bet somebody is already rolling tubes out of paper...

Printing my sheets...luckily, I shop at Costco, and have a fire-hazard-high stack of boxes to work with, no creases yet.

I'd make him sweat it out to show how stupidity hurts, but I personally wouldn't sue unless he started acting like a jerk to you

In my estimation, he has already. He let his friends lie and defend him, and did not set the record straight. For all I know, there are still people who believe him, because he did not publicly confess- I had to do that for him.

Enough about Mookie- I don't want the thread killed, I just re-named, re-purposed it, to get it on a higher road.
Beran is 100% correct in what he said, my feelings aside.
