Man it was a blast.... Three hard lessons I found out...

1. Prior military experience is nice... but IN THIS GAME I have a lot to learn.. having an open mind is a good thing, so sorry if I have been a bit cocky... some lessons are hard to learn.
2. Totally Fogged Goggles is also a totally bad thing.... Then again, see 1 above and shit happens.... oh gee look at the nice person walking by... BLAM BLAM...OOps..I'm dead....
3. Gunny is a warped sadistic individaul but its all GOOD.

Gentleman and Ladies, thank you for a wonderfull time and see you all on the next field.

Thank you to everybody for a wonderfull time and.

Props to all of you who made this competion happen. I know the No.5 RAC had a great time and are looking to supporting this event in the future.
Again thanks to Gunny/Cassca, Ricco, Dantres, Matt of the OA and the actors.
Mega Props....

Thanks for snapping that shot of APST, Aaron! That's nice!

I was very pleased with the event's turnout, I'm glad you could all make it and especially pleased that our friends from Washington could come down to visit. I regret it was a little bit crowded, but I'm sure that next time around we'll need to move it to a larger facility or split it into 2 days. Everyone there made an awesome effort, I really enjoyed being able to film all of the teams in action. Acting was great fun too.

Nice event guys. TF:Z enjoyed ourselves - we would have been happy with a little less down time. While the individual briefing for each team was nice - it did take up a lot of time. We liked the de-brief better as we are always looking to improve our skills and wish we could have had more input from Gunny and crew. I really appreciated the actors they were great to have and I liked getting the information from them at the end of the 1st session.

I think EATF and TF:Z would have liked to see the last session go for at least another 10-15 minutes. It was just getting good when all the lights went out and I would have enjoyed seeing how long we could have lasted! I think we had our buildings pretty nailed down, most of us hadn't gone through more then 1 mag! There was a lot more plastic death to deal that day.

Now for the bad news, on the way home right after getting off the Freeway I rear ended a car who was stopped in the middle of the road. Luckily I was able to break right and did not hit the car square but it still pretty much totaled my car. It actually looked like my car took a bite out of the other car as it's back bumper and side panel was wedged between my hood and bump (displacing the headlight into the radiator). The road was completely black and it was pissing rain. They didn't have their brakes or a turn signal on and by the time I realized they were at a dead stop I only had about 40 feet to stop. No one was hurt but it looks like I will be looking for new car.

Lastly, I extened a special offer to any players from the CQC event to the Half-life LAN Party and Airsoft event up at NWTactical this Friday night. $25 self-equipped will get you in the door. For you computer geeks we will have several developers from Valve at the party including Mihn Le - creator of Counter Strike. The event is 6pm - 6am and is a great way to try out NW Tactical. Drop me an email (hellmutt@battlesim.com) or call NWT to RSVP. We have a player cap on the event and a few spots still available.

Well we made it home to Spokane alright, i crawled into bed around 3 ish, up in Colville! And woke up to snow about 500 ft above my house.......i dont think we are ever going to get up to the dome! Long drawn out spring.

For all of the guys from Spokane, i would like to thank Gunny and crew, for putting on an awesome event. I can tell you we learned alot! I would also like to thank everyone who helped us and gave us pointers throughout the event. And for Gunny's generous amount of time he spent with us on saturday. Its very much appreciated!

Iam glad to hear Helmutt is alright after his car crash as well! Tough break but at least everyone was safe.

We also would like to thank Riddick for all of the raffle prizes, i dont think i can remember the last time i won anything.......very cool!!!

Ditto. I'm glad you guys could make it out to the competition and I'm glad you had a good time.

And Wade, you don't have to worry about how you did man. You had two complete newbs to airsoft (the competition was their first event, for those of you who didn't know) and you guys never play indoors. Considering, I think you guys did fantastically.

Wade, on the curve (experience, team longevity etc...) you guys did better than anyone could have imagined. Half of your team learned basic CQC the day prior to the event and had about 3 - 3 1/2 hours of practice time. The other half of your team had no indoor time either, and got a 2 hour lesson/practice session from YOU (who'd only learned it a few hours earlier) and got to practice IN THE HOTEL.

You guys didn't "do well for an inexperienced team", you guys did well for an experienced team.

Jason, Sorry about your car bro. I'm glad nobody was hurt though.

Yeah man sucks that your car got trashed. I was almost run off the road myself on the way home by a drunk guy. When I finally got past his weaving back and forth self and found a cop (who's cruiser had stalled on the side of the road and was being hitched to a tow truck) he told me that he heard over the radio that the guy was pulled over by two state troopers. Must've been something in the air.

OK, since I've only gotten 3 debriefs from round 3, and I want to close this out, I'm going to call it as follows: (I dumped the final debrief scores)

1. APST (by .17 points)
2. EATF & TFZ tied
3. SDD/NATC & #5 RAC tied
4. The Reich

Next time we do this (at Damash I'd imagine) there's going to be a very formal scoring matrix. Even more so if I can get a few of JLL's teamies to judge the events.

This is based on my opinions and impressions as I saw them. I don't have a stake in who won, and I hope you'll see me as an honest broker in this. I am a member of APST, but I did not allow that to color my perceptions ina positive light... if anything it hurt APST because I was harder on them in scoring than would otherwise be the case.

I took the actors comments into consideration when I scored your teams. In CQC-1 there were two evaluators who could see everything, in this event, there was only me.

I think everyone did an excellent job. At CQC-3 we will (hopefully) have a far more dynamic event with enough judges that we can roll simultaniously on different floors. I am also looking into the possibility of total video coverage similar to the facility at Yakima Range.
