Phoenix Company Airsoft Operation: Maelstrom 9/3/11

Postby Phoenixcompany » Sun Aug 21, 2011 11:49 pm

Hello All,

Changed the date to not conflict with August 27th game.
Changed the start time so the heat doesn't kill us old guys!

Changed the name because it looks like we will have enough players for more than a Skirmish!
We are inviting all area players to come out and skirmish with us this Saturday, the 3rd of September. We should have about 8-12 locals and this skirmish should be fun for all.

The field is struggling to get off the ground and we could use some out of area support! In simple terms, the rent is due and the locals aren't quite covering it LOL!

We will be building more structures and redesigning the field a bit this week to enhance game play.

We will be at the field around 0800 hours and would like a start time of around 0830 hours.

Operation: Maelstrom

He is also suspected of having acquired fire control codes for RMLRS SAM launchers in use by NATO forces in Mogadishu. If he is not stopped and arrested, he intends to use the RMLRS as a bargaining tool against the West or if pushed into a corner…actually launch the SAMs against NATO forces.

Teams:

Nato/UN: Woodland: MARPAT, Multicam full uniforms.

Somali Insurgents: Mix of Desert Military and Civilian clothing, Face rags, shemags, bandanas and T-shirts etc.

Objectives by Team:

Nato/UN:

1. Enter Berbera, identify and locate Abdikarim and his forces.
2. Do not shoot unarmed civilians!
3. Attempt Arrest of Abdikarim and his security forces if possible: Eliminate if not possible.
4. Recover Launch Codes

1. Prevent NATO/UN forces from entering city
2. Protect and defend Warlord Abdikarim
3. Keep launch codes from being obtained by NATO/UN forces
4. Attempt to launch missiles at NATO/UN FOB Charlie if cornered.

Engagements:

Round One:
NATO/UN Vs. Somali for control of town: EST time: 30 Minutes NATO/UN may not initiate firefight.
1. Must maintain possession of 2/3 of buildings for 10 minutes to have control
2. Civilians must consent to search or engage: If killed and unarmed: NATO/UN must respawn as well
3. Respawns will be shorter for Somali’s and will depend on attendance
4. If NATO/UN succeeds, proceed to part two if not, reset and change insertion point for NATO/UN

Round Two: Full Field Semi-auto open engagement for 30 minutes. Each team will have one squad weapon. During this engagement, Warlord Abdikarim must be ID’d and captured. Medic rules in place. Warlord will have ID papers.
1. NATO/UN Arrest and capture / data retrieval
2. Somali Evade, Engage, Escape, protect Warlord.
If Warlord is captured, proceed to part three, if not re-run and adjust.

Round Three: NATO/UN forces are to hold Warlord Abdikarim in jail and await Evac. Somalis will mass assault jail in order to rescue Warlord Abdikarim.
1. Hold and secure Warlord Abdikarim in jail for 20 minutes.

3. Approximately 2 minutes from start of smoke to get Warlord Abdikarim to chopper.
4. Somalis will have shortened respawn to simulate mass assault
5. NATO/UN will have special rules for body armor
6. If launch codes are not recovered, Somalis will have a chance to shoot down EVAC chopper with SAM.

Hey Adam,

The MoFo crew will be out there for sure. Talking to my mates at the 172 ROTA, I know that they are also coming in force. It should be an epic day!

We had a blast last visit and you run a good game, so we are looking forward to it!

6.When you do post that you're having a game, make sure you include the date of the event, the time you wish to start, the directions to the field, any relavent fees, and any other special instructions (like parking, or what have you).

Just want to say that the field at KFalls is a kick to play on, the structures are VERY substantial and I got lost in a couple of the big ones..damn closets..
The field is compact, but by no means does that take away from the entertainment and challenge that is offered in the scenarios that are played there.
I'm gonna have to get more bb's because I'll be laying down more fire this time! (and maybe I can get close to the downed helo in center field..)

I had a blast the last time I went and I hope to hit this upcoming game as well..no takin the bike this time though! My a$$ was killin me after that ride, and I took too many bees to the helmet! lol

Hope to see some folks there!
