My thoughts:
Overall I think the format worked well. It gave teams an opportunity to practice skills in a way that they don't get at skirmishes. It was a learning experience for everyone, including me.
What worked well:
-Using a few dedicated opfor to keep us on our toes (need more OPFOR next time)
-Using a command structure rather than trying to brief all individual players at once
-Limited ammo (never heard anyone phony pony about it. Also saw very controlled use of auto fire)
-Making sure minors had sponsors
-Ranger cuddles
-I saw only good sportsmanship
Things to improve on:
-I could have been better organized. I fouled up and wasn't on my A-game when gameday happened.
-An actual photo/video crew
-A better defined packing list for overnight gear
-Next time I won't go to war with the blackberry bushes
