AVON S10 replicas?

Postby Strikerz » Fri Aug 05, 2011 8:58 pm

I want a gas mask, much like the one hunk used from RE2, i have browsed eBay and found a few(expensive) ones, and ones used for "sexual" purposes, and honestly i couldn't bring myself to wear that. So does anyone know where i can get a cheapish one, or if anyone here has one and is willing to sell?

lol, you want a replica of a gas mask? I wouldn't trust one of those as far as I could throw it.

Also, I used to be interested in picking an S10 up, and I believe it was Congofal who had a contact on some SWAT team down in Cali who had a ton of them lying around. I ended up not getting one, and I have no clue whether or not they even still have them (this was two years ago), but it's worth a shot.

The price he shot at me was $40 for one.

I'd rather go with the MSA Advantage 1000...

I use the MSA Millennium mask every game I play. Highly recommended, though you could spend a LOT of money if you don't take the time to find a good price.

AVON doesn't make a replica S10 mask. The S10 Mask was made by AVON.
However the eye pieces for the S10 mask are convex. The SF10 mask (the SF issue mask) has flat eye pieces. AVON made tinted lenses covers for the SF10 mask. On EBAY you will find people selling the S10 mask with reproduction flat tinted lenses inserted into the eye holes. These are usually labeled SF10 or S10 reproductions.
AGAIN They are the AVON S10 masks with flat tinted lenses inserted into the eye holes. There is no guarantee that the lenses will take a BB, or that they are ANSI rated.
There is no such thing as an AVON S10 Reproduction. Because AVON Rubber made the S10 mask to begin with.

That's what cypher was implying with his failed attempt at sarcasm
