A possible mock simulation of Operation: Neptune's Spear ?

Postby Unconventional » Mon Aug 01, 2011 8:33 pm

Anxious to see an air-soft MIL-SIM event simulating Operation Neptune's Spear. Have you guys given it some thought?

I think it'd be kinda cool to see it replicated to the best of people's ability.

I think that 40 minutes to fire ~2 shots is a little...ugh.

I would play something themed like that, but not replicating. Like "what if it's a trap" and you had to get out with as much intel and as few casualties as possible.

Maybe it could be a good competition.

Sure...different variations of it would provide additional ...well...variations.

We'll need 2 Blackhawks, one rigged to blow, two Chinooks, and a 4 dead hadjis.

Sounds good.

What would be fun about this, exactly? While we're at it, let's reenact the hanging of Saddam Hussein; everyone grab a camera phone.

No man's death should be a spectacle or sport for amusement, I don't care how bad he was. You kids need to go outside more.

.....Annnnnd enter leftist liberal.

Understand this: in no possible way could anyone construe Osama bin Laden's continuing to live as a positive thing. Thus, his death is a good thing. This creature was a blight on the American pysche for 10 years. His death should be celebrated evey year with parades, fireworks and remembrance of the dead of Sept 11.

Nasty-hopefully we can fit something in in november, preferably after I get back.

I would totally play Bin Laden though, and just make a complete mockery of the man.[/quote]

Didn't South Park already do that? ;)

I'll re-enact BinLaden. I'll be sitting at a computer in a bathrob jerking off a strap-on. Best re-enactment ever!

I find the whole "Be the better man" ideology that people have about mocking your enemies a complete crock of liberal bullshit.

Even in World War 2 we were bombing the shit out of German cities with firebombs and winning the war any way possible. You want to make sure nobody fights you? WHen they pick a fight you rape their entire family and stick a goat head up their tool.

Agreed.

"In October 1985, Spetsnaz Alfa was dispatched to Beirut, Lebanon, when four Soviet diplomats had been taken hostage by a Sunni militant group. By the time Alfa was onsite, one of the hostages had already been killed. The perpetrators and their relatives were identified by supporting KGB operatives, and the relatives were taken hostage. Following the standard policy of 'no negotiation', Alfa proceeded to sever some of their hostages' body parts and sent them to the perpetrators with a warning that more would follow if the Russian hostages were not released immediately. The tactic was a success and no other Russian national was taken hostage in the Middle East for the next 20 years."

When you go out and airsoft you are basically acting out the cold blooded killing of your friends, so I don't see how it would be much worse reenacting the death of Osama.
