Tanio Koba Vp-70 (Propane ok?)

Postby Runner1 » Mon Aug 01, 2011 9:31 pm

I recently got my hands on a Tanio Koba Vp70.

Since this gun is old and from Japan. What type of gas should I be rolling it with?

Propane too much

Duster gas?

Or should I go to like AONW or Andy and Bax tomorrow to pick up some Green Gas??

you'll need duster gas. it will run on propane/green gas, but not for long.

Snag a duster adapter which you can order individually from airsoft innovations or purchase an AI propane adapter which comes with a duster adapter which also acts as an extension for the propane adapter. Carefully break the head of the duster can without breaking the head nozzle and stick it right on there. :) Remember to lube it. Have fun :D

If you want to run Propane on it for more than 5 or 6 loads you need to install a metal nozzle on your blowback mechanism, change out your spring set to a 130% (firefly makes the best ones for VP70), as well as put new seals and high flow valves in your mags. I have a TK VP70 that AndyC from tradersairsoft worked on that now has run primarily on propane for almost a year. It Can be done.

Sent a PM for more info.

But if anyone wants to help link. That would be great.

I found the 150% spring.
Just need the metal nozzle, seals, and high flow valves.
