Good places to buy some ACU and vest systems?

Postby Discreet » Mon Aug 01, 2011 8:28 pm

Preferably online or in the Seattle/Bellevue location in Washington. So far I've found a website with a few good ACU's for sale but I'm looking to see if I can get a better deal.

Must it be ACU-Fail?
You'd be better suited with Woodland Digital (Knockoff MARPAT) or some woodies.

But if it is for desert, go with three-color desert or Arid MARPAT (desert digital).

Your best deals on ACU, Woodland, and 3-color desert camo will be found at goodwill or surplus stores. Ed's Surplus in Lynnwood and Sir Plus in Woodinville are two places I like. If you're paying more than $40 for a full set of any of those three patterns you're being royally ripped off.
I'm a "fair weather" airsofter. I only play in the pouring rain, freezing cold, or broiling heat.

Check out www.airsoftoutletnw.com

Depending on whether you want to make the drive or not, you can check out their online store, or go in and actually try on all the gear.

If you make it down to the Fort Lewis area, there are a lot of leftovers from that era and for very good prices.

This. You'd be able to make an entire uniform and kit out of all the ACU stuff they're selling.

The more important question is why would you want to.

Because ACUs are going to be the next hot retro-camouflage.

Right now it's Woodlands (BDUs). Next up it'll be DCU's (3 color desert). After that, ACUs will be cool again. With tank gear.

cheapness, as well as impression or perhaps just because if you get it dirty or destroy it he won't feel bad.

well, what if he needs a light side uniform? BDU isn't light. yes, its cheaper and more effective but hardly anyone is letting the goodguys wear a dark uniform.

a subject for another topic perhaps, but this is a good point. I've seen... unfavorable things pass.
Nasty also wrote:Besides, he could get DCUs for even cheaper than BDUs, and those are "light".
and they work better, but he wants ACU... would you rather he ask "where can I get PLA tibetan autumn pattern cheap?" (one of the dumber ideas I have, but won't be posted about till it actually happens).

ACU has a meaning to some... I personally keep a set of it (though I will attempt to avoid getting armor in it) for the occasion when I play a "US Soldier" but I also have DCU, Chocolate Chip, Multicam and Khaki pants. and for dark... BDU, Flecktarn, OD flightsuit and a green rainsuit as well as black and a blue mechanic suit for when I'm stupid enough to wear it.

why am I saying this? his intention to buy ACU is actually pretty reasonable.

Well, it doesn't have to be ACU, I'm actually quite fine with OD and Woodland, I was just wondering where I could get some gear.

EBAY. Not from the retailers, from actual people...

The key to eBay(which no one seems to understand) is buy from sellers with high feedback(10+ AS SELLERS is fine IMO).

to clarify... hehehe ...across the street from the Foxhole (big yellow building) is a small white building with a green steps and alot of clothing... too much clothing to have reasonably. there is a huge pile inbetween their isles, and fat people must not enter as they will get stuck between the narrow isleways.
but they're nice.
