Ways to improve the next Fallout game?

Discuss anything and everything here that's Airsoft related.

I always feel bad for folks who come all the way to play a game and have something go wrong on their gun, and it would be very post apocalyptic apropos to have some fella who would lend you tools, or "take a look at it for ya" for -say- some brownies or a few priceless wet naps :)

That is a genius idea.

You know what would have been awesome? Caravan. Camping the night before, i found a few people who had decks, but not nearly as much as expected. If it isn't too difficult, mabye the next game could include a small gambling element for caps?

Otherwise, great job junto and all who helped.

I lost too much at Caravan, to you, but it was fun! I like the Mechanic and the camping with your team. All three of these are practical, and greatly help with the roleplaying aspect.

I meant caravan as in an actual dude(s) wandering the paths with particular items to sell and maybe a need to hire some guns to ensure their safe arrival.

I agree, I was responding cause we happened to have played Caravan that morning. I'd join a caravan as a guard if we did that in the next one.

Super Mutants.....

Postby MisterTwisted » Fri Jul 29, 2011 7:09 pm

The problem I see with the super mutants in game play is that in air soft there is a one hit one kill methodology. Where as in the game a super mutie can take several rounds and still keep coming. There are just some aspects of the game that will not translate in to Airsoft...unfortunatly.

Unless you have a rule for the supper mutants that they keep attacking untill they just cant physicaly take the pain any more. As well as not allowing them to take cover or operate tacticaly. From my understanding the mutiants 'tactics" consist of charging untill the last mutant is standing. They are single minded in their attacks and will not stop untill dead. Kind of hard to do in air soft.

And what about gouls? How about having some actors roaming arround as "feral gouls". They are hard to kill and can mess up a squad realy quickly. There are so many different aspects of the Fall out universe that have still to be touched on. Look back on Fall out 1 and fall out 2 for PC. Then you have fall out tactics BOS. There are several games in the serries that can be used as source material. Factions and random encounters aplenty can still be touched on.

In the Games there were "Inteligent" super mutants.
This could be translated to just having a mutant or two at a village acting as mercs.
Raiders sniping BOS. Cough up some ammo and some super mutants head there way.
Tech in mutant lands. Ammo and they get VIP escort.
Just little things to keep mutants moving
Two things are infinite, The Universe and Human stupidity, And I'm not sure about the Universe.

Good idea except 99.999999999999999% of the super mutants can't tie there shoes the only exception is Fawkes

Nope, Jacobstown in Western Nevada is FULL of intelligent mutants and Nightkin. In that same vein if the name of the mutants is changed to Nightkin then that fixes a lot of issues. Nightkin use tactics, are squishier, and are typically crazier due to the Schizophrenia caused from the over usage of Stealth Boys. Some actors willing to be ghouls would be cool (little makeup, scratchy voice), I'm game for being a local medic at the next game, already built the loadout based on the Wastelander Medic outfit. I think that medics and doctors should be more important then they were. In Fallout I seem to need to visit the local doc every time I enter a new town, where as in this one I grabbed a shot-glass from him, rested my rifle against his wall, tipped my hat and was off. Only said I believe 5 words to him. I noticed that there were ALOT of locals at the town, so what about a second town, with a caravan running in between the two towns that the raiders could hit for caps or chems.

I found all the teams easy to sight with the exception of Raiders and Locals. So I think Raiders and Locals need color bands. Red for raiders would be my favorite and maybe blue for locals. But the camo patterns for the other teams worked out really well (at least being a raider).

I want to see more bartering in the town. More merchants and something that feels more like a town. You did an awesome job, I'd just love to see even more. I'd also like the town easier to get to for BoS and Raiders without running through a battlefield (as was suggested). And I'd like to see ammo purchased with bottle caps. This would make the looting more important. And make the BoS and Raiders have to conserve their shots a bit more. This would only work fairly if you had a total control over the economy. It was really cool to have more than just soda to buy in town, I loved it :D

It would be pretty cool if the Raiders had some kind of trash like defensive area slash buildings. Our spawn was pretty out in the open, and I see raiders as having shit to protect them in their camp. I'm not sure how you could work it in exactly, but it would be pretty cool to have a "vault" that either the locals or the raiders have come from. If the next game is exactly as this game was I'd still gladly pay 20 bucks for it though Junto. To say it was bleeding boss is to sell it short.
