ebay and airsoft

anyone notice the outrageous prices for airsoft replicas say a agm springer (m14) being sold for $500 wtf are they trying to ripe people off or are they just idiots? What you guys think?

I think that it's ebay, and ebay will either have amazing deals, or horrible deals. Just look at warhammer models if you don't believe me. so I would have to go with a mix between they are idiots, and they are trying to rip you off; the rip you off one tho, is probably less common if it's expensive, because if something is expensive they usually don't buy it, so sellers usually wanting to make money don't bother.
Edit: Also, if it's cheap it's probably broken.

well a fun that cost less that 100 buck new being sold at least 5x what its worth sounds like rip off
