There was an issue with the raider bolt users. Every time I was shot by a bolt it was within the 40 ft safety kill range, once in the face when my entire body was clearly visible.

I hope everyone had a great time, and I can't wait to see the pictures.

Agreed with the kill range. I got sniped in the ear and its all icky.

That was bleeding awesome! But uh DRAT, next year can you like sacrifice a cat so it isn't so gorram hot? And I guess I read the rules wrong but I didn't think raiders were allowed to bring any ammo to the field, and that we would have to buy it all with bottle caps. But thankfully our awesome raider leader let me and my friends load up until we could get some more. Everyone really came together(from the people on all the teams to the actors) to make the game awesome. I really can't wait for the next game (but I guess I kinda have to).

Hey Scythe, the 2 pictures you took of me (Vault suit with the G3) turned out awesome. Thanks a bunch for those :D

While there are some rules and props that need refinement and my briefing skills/rule explanation could use some work, I'm glad everyone came out, devoted to the concept, well-read on the rules, and pretty much ready for what we were offering.

There are so many people that I can't thank enough. Many of the local actors were my own personal friends who took huge chunks out of their own schedules for me. Needless to say, I owe many people many favors and thanks.

I'm glad that the only real problems that arose today were the standard problems at airsoft games like hacking and engagement distances. I was also very happy that even though the field was saturated in props and individually packaged food, we walked away with the field as clean, if not cleaner, than when we arrived. People do need to be mindful that Sniperz Den isn't just a hole in the woods or a paintball park, but also a nut orchard and watch what they do in regard to the orchards. That being said, people managed themselves very well during camping and I never had to get on anyone about fires, noise, or trash, aside from the usual noisy tent or two talking until far too late in the night.

All in all, I had an excellent weekend and I think nearly everyone at the game had a great attitude all day despite it being so hot. I hardly even saw people tossing costume pieces off all day, which shows real devotion to the concept.

Lost and found will be up after I unload and sort all the props today and tomorrow.

One more thing, people's costumes and melee weapons were AWESOME. Keep workshopping your loadouts. I doubt this will be DRAT's last foray into the wasteland.

That was awesome! My only suggestion would be armbands. It was hard to tell raiders from locals.

Good games guys.

Gameplay:
Pretty much the same results as last time. I noticed lots of fun creative characters that people were playing to help add to the experience. Some looked like they got a little too into it and some triggers were a little overused in close proximity. Other than that I saw nothing but good sportsmanship from everyone on the field.

Conduct:
I had to play daddy and remind a few people that Snipers Den is not just a field but a home to people. I was the asshole in a few situations but I wanted to make sure we kept this field as an option for hosting games in the future. I only did it cause I cared. :D

Pictures:

You must wait one year for every bottle cap that did not buy me a BJ from Ho-A-Day Inn. You can blame Alex the Pimpdaddymassa. ;)

By the way, mad props to Mr. Twist and all the actors who put the gusto into your acting. It really made the environment 'pop', and I can't help but think that that's what everyone came for.

There were also some incredible rigs and clothing today, and I'm positive that I can say on behalf of everyone that the time you put in made our time better.

And not just a thank you, but an encouraging and welcoming appreciation for everyone to came, with a special thank you to Junto: the script, the objectives, the logistics, the stress, and the motivation were all his brain child and burden. Everyone put in some serious effort, but if it weren't for him, this would be another cosplay skirmish.

Cheers!

I just got home and I am quite literally dead at this point. Most of me hurts, but it is completely worth it because I had an absolute blast. To all my glorious minions, you guys are freaking amazing. I saw so many people getting in character and just having a blast with it. Morales were high, and I heard very little complaints from anyone on mutants, except for the staple moments of hacking. Seriously, you guys were excellent. Everyone had a great attitude, and was eager to go all day. Finally....you guys rescued me. HELL YEAH!!! Honestly, that escape was possibly the most glorious thing I have ever seen on an airsoft field. Props to everyone. Loki and Gredvig also say the same thing, but they do not have AP accounts to express their gratitude in person. We were all blown away, and even though very little trigger time happened for us, had a blast working with all of you.

Now to address the issue of the overlords. I am very sorry for the confusion that took place about us being invincible. It should have been made more clear by all of us at the start of the game. Us three were the only ones that couldn't die, but to be fair, our involvement in actual trigger time was extremely minimal. I got 1 kill for the whole day, and Loki and Gredvig combined maybe got 3. Our main goal was to stand back and direct traffic. But yes, it should have been made more clear, and I hope it was made so near the end.

And from all of us on DRAT, thanks for coming out!

The mutants were in Green Camo, the BoS in Tan camo. That was an easy distinction.
The Locals and Raiders did get a little hard to tell apart.

"The Marshall" was Splinter and I was impressed that he stayed in his full leather suit all day without dropping gear.

Tinker stayed in full gear until he puked from heat exhaustion and I wouldn't stop bugging him until he went shirtless.

Awesome costumes on the Raiders side. I didn't see much other people, and I agree with who posted earlier about T-shirt colors. Once it gets hot, I think the mutants and brotherhood started dropping BDU tops. It'd be a lot easier to see who had the same themed colors on after they went to t shirts.

I showed up in a parka with no sleeves, but dropped it after the first 15 minutes when my RPK went down and I was taking off the other gear I had specifically set up for the RPK. I ended up running around all day with a USP Match, kicking myself that I had only brought two spare mags for it. It was a fun day running around with a USP for me and my highlight was near the end of the last round when I killed 10-15 super mutants with just the USP before I ran out of ammo and tried to run away, getting shot in the back.
