Not really true. I usually DMR with a bolt at about 550fps. I wear the same gear as my team and run with my squad to objectives. It is just nice to outrange and be able to clear targets before moving my fireteam in.

I didn't mean all dmr's I meant people who turn AEG's that can barely reach past 120ft in to "long" range guns by adding a scope

how about you get yourself a good beginners sniper rifle
or better yet get a handgun instead and learn how to get close enough to your enemy to hit him
