Just your gear for Airsoft and camping ( plate/silverware) plan according to weather forecast. Plan for getting wet in the swamp, extra clothing /shoes. You don't have to get into the swamp, but some find it a good way to infiltrate

Everyone be sure to have long sleeves & gloves. due to the amount of rain this year, there is an abundance of nettles and some poison oak on site

Probably me+1. And the swamp sounds like a good place to break in my ghillie suit.

Matt ( the Jellomaster)and I just replaced the bridge into suicide ridge ( it floats away in winter). The undergrowth is phenomenal this year due to the amount of rain we have had. We will do a minor amount of weed whacking tomorrow so the new folks don't get lost. I will selectively spray some 2-4-D on the bits of noxious plants (poison Oak) that I can find. Wear LONG SLEEVES!

For the night game it would be good to have some type of electronic sight, as its really hard to get a sight picture in the swamp with iron sights after dark. Tracers would be good too. Full moon is tonight (7/15) so its not going to be much help during this event. You are going to want a light so as not to spend the night wandering lost in the swamp. I am Looking for someone to play the pilot role. Ruskie seems to fit the bill if you are up for it Stephanovich? :D

Models suggest warmer, dry, seasonal conditions returning July 27 - Aug 3.

Lots of rain down here this weekend, so the vegetation promises to be lush. according to the above forecast (http://www.ovs.com/weather_cafe.htm) we will get a break for this event. short version, be prepared for whatever.

Most of you are too young to have any idea of the glorious SE Asia conflict (Viet Nam) If it warms up you will get a taste minus Mr. Charles. :)

Goretex will keep the rain out unless the rain gets in. Then they keep the rain in.

GET IT!?
