A second Ar platform set up exactly the same. When you run out of ammo flip it over.

thats just dumb.

so you get to hold your M4 in one hand while you shoot your secondary in your other hand.
Yeah, thats going to work....

Very this

in order to get a solid platform you have to go through the same steps and it's not really all that much faster if you plan on taking more than one shot.

Work out more ;) j/k

Yeah like I said - I don't like this too much, LEOs may like it for the tazer application (tazer weighs next to nothing), but as for carrying a secondary firearm with more ammo to weigh down the front end of my rifle - no thanks.

Taser use and firearm usage are miles apart on the force continuum. I cannot see any agency allowing said usage due to the public relations tornado it would cause. There is a big problem now with gun mounted lights being used for simple illumination on situations where firearms usage is not warranted, such as traffic stops. Imagine if you will, mom and the kids in the mini van and officer Joe approaching on routine stop with gun drawn shining light into vehicle interior just for illumination. You can imagine what a problem that would cause. I have seen that very scenario played out because some officer wanted to have a cool weapon mounted light or was not equipped with a separate light.
Even with less lethal rounds they are generally not allowed to be used in the same guns as standard rounds. Potentially very dangerous situation.

There's SWAT teams that use the X-Rail system attaching their Taser to their firearm. Haven't seen any IALEFI warnings or notices about negligent discharges w/ this yet

With training - I think the X-Rail has its uses. Just like the gun mounted lights... with training, it has its applications. As for the dumbasses using their TLR-1s as their main lighting source - plain retardation. I know it has happened and those subjects are completely and utterly stupid thinking that that kind of tactic is acceptable. Not appropriate usage of the tool.

BACK to the original topic of the Gripshot - is there an airsoft application? Hey sure, it could be fun. Practical? I think not - but kudos to anyone who gets it and trains & proves me wrong.

If you got money to toss around then go for it, get your gucci shit to show off and have fun, build a ridiculous frankengun, support the economy. If you don't like it, then awesome - just laugh at the guys who do get it. This just looked amusing to me, that's why I threw it up on here - lighten up folks, it's airsoft. Be safe & Have some funs

Go ask the Clacakamas co SWAT sniper what happens when you get the wrong stuff mixed up with the right stuff in the chamber. A tragic mess that happened with highly trained individuals.....shit happens none the less. This is why its a bad idea to mix the stuff.

The topic of simunitions can be brought up in another thread. That was 11 years ago, and there's been a lot of safety protocols instilled since then to make sure it doesn't happen again. It wasn't a 'negligent discharge' it was negligence on part of the participants beforehand to make sure no live ammo was brought out onto the training ground. It was a terrible tragedy that Bill died - he was a friend of mine when I was in high school.

Again - talking airsoft here...
