Good. Her behavior seriously worried me.

And I wish I could've shaken that guy's hand. His actions were some of the best I've seen at airsoft games.

Actually it was Darius and I that were getting the Mehdi to back off. I suggested the initial Parley because I could tell we were way too close to keep engaging the people in the log fort and it was making it more of an issue for the admins than it should have been.

Unfortunately I got hit so while I was dead Darius pulled the rest of the Medhi players back and told them to just hold the line at the edge of the city.

I missed most of the drama at the log fort and up near the city. Sounds like it was pretty wild. I was driving the APC ( the green plywood covered ATV with trailer). Our task was to take or tie up the shed at point 10. Kudos to you people who were stationed at that thing (PSC?)I We made multiple attempts at it . It took us 3 + hours to take it. My apologies for rolling up at the very beginning and shooting all of you with my dismount weapon. I was given bad information that the game had started ( it had not). When I got there a group was just standing there in a pack. I took you all for friendlies. When I got closer I could see the camo was not right and that is when I opened up with the P 90. I'm glad now hat I did not bring my heavy guns to bear. That aside what a battle! Not once did a rocket hit the APC as we would not get close enough for them to hit us. The gunners were taken out by gunfire through the ports so we became combat ineffective and would go back to respawn . That hillside to the north of the shed was a real bear as it provided good cover for your
snipers and MG. Incidentally that would have been the perfect spot for that guy with the rockets.

Regarding the anti tank barriers ( the tripod things) I had no clue about them as they were not covered in the briefing or rules. I tried to get an admin to tell us what the heck they were to no avail, so I just went over them ( and we all died in the process). after about 3 hours of standoff ( and tying up a fair amount of EDG troops) we decided to do a suicide run up the middle and take the shed and crossroads at all costs. Fortunately the 808 camo pickup showed up at that time and along with about 20 dismounts we did a side by side rolling cover right up to the shed. Between the 240 on that truck and my 2 gunners we we able to advance the dismounts up to the road barricade. A massive firefight ensued resulting in mass casualties on both sides. To whomever you were, the guy in the swamp with the LMG, you had real stones to lay there and take the massive amount of fire that we we able to throw your way. I could just watch as every time I attempted to open up, a shit storm of fire came forth. The sides of the APC near the fire ports look like a cheese grater. We were eventually able to clear the road block and the 808 PU went first and drove EDG up the hill to their spawn area. 808 240 gunner , you were incredible . I was watching you fire and take fire. You were bobbing , weaving and ducking like a prize fighter. It was a little anti climactic at the top of the hill because it was the spawn point. There was no where to go and we just sat there until the admin told us not to spawn camp. This had not actually occurred to me so I told the admin ( wombat) that we would go up a bit and turn around. We were in that process when the horn sounded and all of the people whom we had killed at the bottom of the hill were unleashed in a torrent right behind us. That freaked me out a bit , but not to worry, that 240 on the 808 PU and my gunners kept them at bay until the final horn sounded. Medhi, you guys were seriously awesome in that last push to take the shed and the push up the hill, Kudos to the 808 death machine! EDG (PSC?) you guys were serious adversaries. If you would have had some more anti tank weapons, we would never have taken the shed. You probably noticed that the APC would stand off just out of range of the rocket guy. That was on purpose. It was to tie up as many troops as possible and keep you from reinforcing the battle on the city and log fort. Near the end I grew weary of being a target and we decided to roll you guys up. The 808 made that possible . My apologies for any screw ups regarding ROE of vehicles. I am working on that now so that there are some standard guidelines in place for all AP events in the future.

One additional item; I was sitting inside of a 6 ft plywood box with an engine running inside the box. I saw lots of gestures and shouting directed our way. I cannot hear a word anyone says unless you are right up to the ports and I turn the engine off. Its also about 100 degrees in there. I mostly smile and wave ( and to the gunner in the swamp, the Australian peace sign just to antagonize you) So if I appeared to be ignoring you.....so sorry

DJ, I didn't know about the road blocks until I heard over the radio from the field admins about them. Had there been prior knowledge I would have included it in the manual and briefed it.

Hey no problem If that it the worst thing that happens to me it will be a good day. It just really highlights the need for good comms. I chose to use FRS in keeping with the masses. Down in the hole where the road / point 10 was they sucked. I had zero comms for the whole game. Me thinks that comms with the admin channel for all vehicles would be a good thing, either directly or indirectly via our HQC.....Oh and Rick , are you sure thats a Honey badger? Looks like a wolverine to me.

Yes sir, I will bring the co2 setup. Do you have a truck yet? If not I can bring PU and trailer.

RE the HB, the photos definitely show the difference.

Just wanted to give another opinion on the game from my little group. If you guys dont know me, I always play MARPAT with my two brothers, Dad and friend Tim. We're the two buff dudes who get winded in 10 seconds running hahaha, christ its embarassing.

EDG - I felt like we played hard and kept at it. Let's face it, those spawn points SUCKED a$$. Having to walk up a hill everytime to respawn was a pain and it seemed to wear people down. But still the buzzer would sound and off everyone would go!

Mehdi - Im not sure what the score turned out to be, but we felt like you guys had the map on lockdown 90% of the game. Every single fire fight for us we were in a shitty position, often going uphill and always attacking a position you had fortified. Even if we hit the forest and went offroad you guys were ready. Props, made it a very tough but fun game.

Riddick - Here is a couple of our critical points on the game, as people have mentioned already professionalism and how you guys deal with the game has never been even close to an issue. I see your games and thats what i reccomend we goto every time. As still fairly new players (>10 games) it is EXTREMELY difficult to tell who is on what team without colored armbands. Spotting woodland and marpat from any distance is difficult. We found ourselves often having to guess what team another player was on just by the direction they were facing and location. Also, while all of us are into airsoft not everyone is military buffs. There were a few times where we got thre drop on someone ad were like "uhhh what camo is that?". Just since we played last year i've seen two completely new camos that i didnt know what team they were included in. Also we liked the 2 session game format solely for the defined time to take a food break. We went nonstop because we didnt want to come off the field to eat and shortchange our team. Plus we like the hotdogs and burgers...

Thats it! Excited for the next one.

thanks for the kudos.

Actually for the next low event I am going to a tan vs green format to help with the camo issue.

Awesome. Pickles did that at Holy Wars of Alzakistan and it was very easy to differentiate the teams.

Here are my 2 cents.

Everything has been covered in the postgame debriefing, so im not gonna say that.
I ran into a situation when a kid who was wearing Dutch (wtf?) camoflauge shot and killed me, and i had assumed that he was on mehdi for the sole purpose that he was not wearing marpat OR multicam. But when i got closer to him so that i can tell him to watch the friendly fire, he informes that that he was on EDG the whole time. How is it possible that i kid wearing camoflauge that so closely resembles woodland is on EDG?
I believe that a quick rundown of the uniforms on both teams would put an end to this.

Fo sho. It worked great at thunder strike! It would be nice to have another game where there is only one camo per side.
