Top Brand

Postby Tainted5oul » Sat Jun 11, 2011 4:24 pm

Hey all Ive been outta the airsoft scene for about five or so years and I was just curious what the top brand for guns is now? And if they differ from AEGs to GBB and such. Any insight on the subject would be appreciated. Thank you.

Look through the AEG section (or Gas section) of this website. There are many valuable threads that deal with the information you are looking for.

Let me save you the trouble.
when it comes to AEG's there is a very wide range but i'll give you the top 3 brands for m4/m16's: KWA, G&P, Classic Army.
Gas pistols: Tokyo Mauri, KWA.
as simple as that

you can gather all the votes and see which one has the most
but basically it all comes down to the person
come to some games and try out some of other guns to get a feel for yourself

My favorite brand is Double Eagle.

Not really.

;) G&P and VFC are good for externals, KWA and TM (yeah) good for internals.

They all suck. Custom is the way to go. 8)

But na you gotta start with a base though. My favorite are VFC, LCT, Guarder, CA, G&P, and sorta Real Sword. Dboys and CYMA are also awesome for a cheaper option.

KWA for gas blowbacks.

CYMA is reliable beyond compare in my experience, especially given what you pay for it.
KWAs can be finicky at times but they have a really good warranty system and generally function very well.
SOCOM Gear is a joke if you want decent internals.

But like Nasty said, this is very subjective. Best to try them for yourself

VFC, KWA, G&P. in that Order

Socom Gear is fantastic if you get the right model. Their M4 series is great. They are a partnership between VFC and Madbull so the quality is there. I have been running their Sopmod for a year now on 11 V Lipo. I am getting 415 FPS and 26 RPS stock. No signs of any problems so far, so I respectfully disagree with what was said earlier.

I do not own a GBB rifle but I have heard great things from the users of WE brand.

Do you even know what you're talking about? Socom Gear M4's have VFC gearboxes in them, which aren't bad at all.

It's a subjective thing.
I speak from experience.
The particular gun was almost definitely a lemon, but it still spoiled me on SOCOM Gear items for life. They may be an excellent brand in reality, but in my experience, regardless of how limited, tells me they're not.

Alex, you know nothing about internals, don't comment. If you actually had a legitimate problem with your gun, and knew what it was, I'd understand, but you had no idea.
