Anyone else use REAL helmets?

Discussion of load-bearing equipment, tactical gear, holsters, BDUs, and other gear related to Airsoft.

Im looking into gettin a SEAL style IBH Helmet or a MICH 2000 helemt in the future, just because they are sleeker than the PASGT, but I dont see why nobody seems to like the PASGT, atleast for me, its very comforatble and never gets in the way.

The IBH is VERY rare, and thus would be VERY expensive if you managed to find one. Only 800 were ever made, and most/all of them are owned by private collectors, or are still in use in the military.

Get a MICH and you'll never wear the PASGT again.

Has anyone ever used the Lightweight Helmet? How does it compare to the PASGT?

I haven't personally used one, but from what I've read it's just a light weight PASGT with more strength.

PASGT is perfectly comfortable if you throw an Oregon Aero kit in it, which I do when I run woodland. I also wear a real PASGT flak vest with the woodland. When running normal Fragistan, I usually wear an M1 steel helmet. I've always liked helmets.

I'll take a TC2000 over a PASGT ten times out of ten.

Note that it goes with a PASGT vest and woodland, does it look to you like I'm going for ultimate tacticoolness? Also, you can easily acquire PASGT helmets on the cheap (I got mine for the whopping price of 20 dollars, although that's unusually low), while TC2000s are expensive. I'll take the PASGT because I'm a cheapskate.

I use real helmets all the time.
The PASGT is a little heavier than the WWII M1 helmet and a hell of a lot more comfortable than the M38 FJ helmet.
I wear my PASGT for many hours while doing Living History displays and i wore it in real life as well so i am used to the weight.
Last weekend i wore my PASGT and a full set of webgear plus the PASGT Vest from 09:00 to 18:00 for Armed Forces Day (Snowman was there ) with no problems at all.

It depends on the impression i am doing at the time , it could be a US M1 helmet or a PASGT helmet , it could be a German M35 or M38 or an M40 helmet or a German M826.
It could also be an Italian M33 or a French M26 Adian helmet , you get the idea
