Have you seen airsoft guns used in TV shows (passed off as real)? If you get a screen capture, post it here with the name of the show.

The SRU in that show are terrible.
It seems they try their best to get as many people shot as possible.

I have often wondered if they use airsoft guns in movies almost every time I see an action movie. I will post any screen shots that might help you or an information.

they use a ton of airsoft guns in flashpoint. their armorer is a retard, they even have the optics on one of their M700s mounted upside down.

imfdb has a lot of airsoft guns specifically listed on their site when they are used in movies and tv shows.

Josh, I love when they use a backward mounted Aimpoint as a magnified optic.

Josh, that's not upside down. That's how they do it in Canada because of their distance relative to the earths rotational and magnetic poles. It compensates for spin drift! SPIN DRIFT I SAY!

Leverage primarily uses airsoft guns... cheap ones at that.

I've seen backwards EoTechs. I've also seen a movie case with a guy wielding a (I kid you not) Double Eagle M87 "shotgun" (pump rifle) with the magazine still in it.

EDIT:
Did anybody else notice the lack of a charging handle in the first pic?

They also use the building I work in out in Clackamas and often block up the entire parking lot and make it a pain in the a$$ to get into work.

Torchwood from BBC was using Tokyo Marui 4.3 HI-Capas as their standard sidearm. They just covered the "OPS Pistol" with a little "Torchwood" piece. They did this with G36s as well for Torchwood and Dr. Who.

Hey, at least in this case it's an actor and not a cop.

I don't find it that odd to use airsoft guns in a movie, think of it like using rubber prop guns (which also show up all the bloody time). If you're in a scene where the gun doesn't have to fire a round, you increase the safety of the filming massively by having guns that can't even fire blanks (and yes, blanks are dangerous, seeing as they've killed at least two actors on set).
