Looking for a helmet

Postby Patrick750 » Sun May 22, 2011 12:04 pm

I'm looking for a helmet to replace my ugly boonie. I want one that doesn't cover my ears. The one I have now is nice and all and would probably be used by most but it covers my ears. I don't want dampened hearing. I would like it with rails but if it doesn't have them thats fine. I looked at the Crye Airframe but it's like $900, so unless there is a clone version or just another helmet that doesn't cover my ears thats fine. IDC about color, i'll just paint it anyways.

Krylon fusion camo paint works great on helmets.

Also the MICH helmet's pads and chinstrap are far more comfortable the the IBH's

Never been a fan of IBH's. Mich 2001's are functionally the same and the replica's don't always looks like they're made of 1/6" of flimsy plastic.

I've always thought IBHs were sortof retarded. Mainly because there were only 741 of them ever produced.

That said, I had a replica, and I absolutely HATED the suspension setup they have.

I now wear an SDS Warrior (basically a MICH-2000) and I have zero issue with hearing while I'm wearing it.
