Lurk on chat for a while. There are some guys here that have them, you just have to ask. You can also hit up gun shows; I've seen them there but never thought to buy them.

I would not, however, recommend tearing apart a $100 magazine; just use an M4 high cap stuck in the side and mount the "bag" for looks.

Are you looking for the green hard plastic drums, or the soft bags?

And what brand of SAW did you pick up?

He's looking for soft bags, and it is an A&K with upgrade piston and gears.

I picked up a couple of the hard plastic box mags for an A&K at airsplat for $50 a piece. The A&Ks feed through the magazine well and use the weird spring tube thing. Probably a good way to go would be to pick up a plastic drum and cut off the plastic sides and mount it in the bag.

As far as the bags go, probably best bet would be check at gun shows, surplus shops, and eBay.

Now, I've seen cloth nutsacks through AONW, IIRC. But it's been a while. You might be able to just pick up exactly what you are looking for by talking to the guys in the shop and not have to screw around at arts & crafts time.

hes looking for one of these http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4024/463 ... 40d6cd.jpg

you can find them online for around $70-$80. search for "m249 round soft ammo pack" or something along those lines. so far ive only found them in woodland and ACU.

as far as i know, the only cloth nutsack mags that are made for airsoft are the smaller rectangular 100rd versions. easiest way would probably be to buy one of those and one of the larger ones for the real steel and combine them.

The one used in the movie was cloth, not plastic and I've never seen one online or at a gun show.

If your looking for the 200rd plastic one (which is what I'm thinking your after, but its kinda hard to tell) I've seen them on gunbroker.com and at gun shows for about $15 a pop. Or you can buy the one built for airsoft.

I have had a CA box mag and a real SAW box mag side to side. I was impressed how similar the two actually were. If trashing a CA mag is what you need to do by all means. A suggestion, have AEX do one of their CA mod-wire jobs on a mag instead of spending the money on reinventing the wheel. I am pretty happy with mine.
