Yeah, give you a reason to pick on me..... till you are sick of standing in the rain, or want your non used gear to not get soaked. ;) I had a soft case get ruined that way. That being said, I will attempt to bring a large tarp.

Edited.

I got my G&G G96 Tuesday. It looks awesome :>. My first "real" airsoft gun. New gun smell :) It's assembled. Like someone else reported, the bolt needs to be worked in of course. The seams are good, but on the bottom of the trigger guard it's not flush. I don't mind though, very nice gun.

Sheepdog wrote:@ReaperXIV - I'll allow it but make sure he stays by your side. You're responsible for him and his actions, make sure you coach him well. I will definitely need a waiver for him with a parental signature (not yours). Just an FYI most events are 14+ I'm making an exception since he is your family and we probably won't be shooting 'live' targets.
:D Thanks
We went to the farm at the begining of spring break and the age limit was 13+. So I thought he could go to this one. He not bad at all he hid in a corner of a room and got seven safty kills, and He'll be on my side "Hint's he is my spotter"

I'm going to use my JG VSR 10 and my brother will be using a JG dragunov. Also does anyone have an extra ghille because mine's made for the desert not woodland. Or were I can by a cheap one.

First, you don't really need a ghillie. Second, how often do you play in total tan areas? I would say just paint it and add veg to it.

I'm used to live in eastern Oregon around Bend its kinda tan around there.
I'll just wear normal woodland BDU's.

A ghillie is not needed. Bring BDUs, a boonie would definitely be useful though.

Any way I could hitch a ride from Portland to the field, then back to Portland?
If I buy a taxi from my home it'll run me about 260 for a round trip, which I don't know if I will be able to pay or afford. I'm willing to pay for your gas and your lunch possibly, and extra. It'd be cheaper than paying for a taxi anyways. I figure no one would do it out of the kindness of their hearts anyways :P. I live in Tigard, but I might be able to catch an early bus to Portland.

I'm going to stop by the local Airsoft store in Portland to buy some BB's, I noticed mine have air bubbles in them. (I got them with a pistol from a buddy for 60$, I didn't have any idea about the quality of the pistol. It's not a good one though after using it for fun).

Any chance I could pay for a carpool or something?

Also, I'm still waiting for confirmation on the day off. I'll check I'm off break now.

goose and mule are definetly in...... really looking forward to showing you guys up...... i mean attending.

sarcasm..... who needs it.

thanks for letting us come and hang with some other creepers. we dont get much chance to get out of the area, so it will be a good learning experience for us. maybe knock the rust off the old hinges before the good weather hits.

sniping in the heavy rain sucks. the change in humidity the moisture in the equipment. really can throw a shot. hopefully it will rain the night before and the morning of but then let up for the creep.

Still waiting on my work to approve or deny my request :(
Hoping it's a yes as I put it in over a month ago. I bet they will deny it so I don't have enough time to resubmit it of course. :?

I'll keep you posted.

I don't have boonie hat(Is it important to have one), but can I just use a normal BDU cap.

a boonie is so you can weave vegitation into the loops in the hat. a regular hat and a really big rubber band would work just fine. or you could sew loops into your regular hat. i will be bringing examples of ghillie with me for comparison to all that is there and for the new guys to oogle and maybe come up with their own design.

what size hat do you wear? i have a woodland boonie you could borrow or buy for $5.00 theyre normilly like $10.00 to $15.00 from any surplus store and this ones a little small for me and i hardly ever use it. washed a couple times but like new.

Alright - I'm back folks!!! Was out of town for a week in the Arizona desert.

ROSTERS UPDATED

I've had a few questions so I'm going to clarify a few things. This is not a 'bootcamp'. This is not a 'training' where you stand around and some person claiming to know it all tells you what to do. This is a hands on training event where you can test your gear and skills to see if your loadout is working. There will be a lot of experienced people there who will offer their ideas to help you out. What they say isn't the 'end all be all' of how to be a sniper. Do what works for you - and if you don't know what works, this is the place to figure it out. I will add a gear list here in a day or so to help people out.

In the meantime, send me any other questions you may have. I'm looking forward to the turnout!!!!
