Mag keeps falling out

Postby CCCman » Sun May 01, 2011 6:53 pm

My KWA USP Mag keeps falling out randomly. i insert the mag, slap it in hard a few times and shoot. after every few shots it falls out. Faulty mag catch?

Does the mag catch have a screw on it? If so, try tightening it, it should solve the problem (they tend to work themselves loose with the GBB action).

Check finger placement. The pull down style mag catch is very susceptible to bad hand placement.

yes, its a gas blowback pistol. they do have recoil and shock from the action cycling.

It could be a worn magazine catch or worn magazine, though the mag catch is more likely. I'd call KWA and see if they can send you a new one.

As an aside, recommend you not slap the mags, it tends to break off the tab on the loading nozzle, which is a pain. I know it looks cool when they do it on tv, but it is not even recommended for RS guns due to mag lip damage. Push the mag in firmly till you feel it engage the stop.

didn't know that, thanks. i just got super paranoid after my mags fell out a lot, so i slap it to make sure its in, but they still fall out.. soo much for "engineered to out perform"
