Mithril Presents the Zombie Chaos Skirm! *CANCELLED*

Who:
Organized by Mithril

What:
A 2-3 team sector control game with Zombies

When:
Sunday May 22nd Starting at 9AM and running till we're done.

Where:
Tentatively the Scapposse field.

Cost:
$0.00 – Free

Details:

Standard AP velocity rules will apply for AEG's, longarms, etc... We will have a Chrono on hand.

There will be a number of sector control points around the field. 5 (If 2 teams) 7 (If 3 teams) Each control point will have a zombie “tethered” to it by a 10' length of rope. Sector control zombies can not be killed. Anyone killed by a sector control zombie can not return to their respawn until someone captures that control point. (This means that yes it is possible for an entire team to be killed without the option of respawn.)

In addition there will be a pack of roving zombies on the field attempting to disrupt any operations they find. Roving zombies will be “fast” in that they will run around the field and at you. They will not run into you, jump, or do anything else acrobatic. People killed by roving zombies respawn normally and roving zombies will have metal plates on their front and back to allow them to be shot. Roving zombies are on a 10 second respawn.

You are killed by a zombie if it gets two hands anywhere on your upper body. (above the belt.)

Rounds will last 1 hour or until one of the victory conditions are met:
1. One team captures all control points.
2. All but one team are killed by sector zombies.

Mithril will be providing (acting as) admins to handle any disagreements on the field as to whether or not someone got caught by a zombie, control of sector points, and any hacking that may go on.

If a round ends for time a tally of control points will be made and the winning team at the end of the day will be based on total points captured.

Weapon Restrictions:

1. No support Platforms/box Magazines
2. No snipers

Because we are not limiting FPS to CQB velocities for an outdoor game with a force on force component we need to restrict these platforms for the relative safety of our zombies.

I can't wait to see how Mithril handles admining a game. If this works out we have some other games that are in their planning stages that we will do later this year.
Thanks for signing up!

I am slightly concerned about the lack of Standard AP velocity limits...and I can't use my M249...Looks fun though.

Edit: I am down, but will have to bust out the Tri-Shot loadout.

Isn't that a good reason to buy more replicas?

a lack of FPS limits lacks a overall concern for the safety of their attendees irregardless if it's outdoors or not.

not sure how limiting a M249 increases safety for a zombie. It's just a aeg with a large magazine. Increase safety by not allowing 11.1v lipos.

Sorry miscommunication there.
We are limiting the FPS to standard AP rules for AEG rifles.

Nothing over 400 FPS.

we are not limiting to CQB velocities of 350 FPS.

We will have Duc with his Chrono to enforce this.

Many apologies for that. I was referring to limiting it to CQB velocities. Our zombies are just going to pad up and mask up so that they are safe.

Unfortunately we do not have enough people to plan on running this and have to cancel the event. Many apologies and more in the future.
