But if you have a BALLISTIC shield, that may be a different story. I'm not sure about if you had a full size ballistic shield you would be able to use it in a game, which you wouldn't want to by the end of the game do to the extreme weight on your arm.

I can get them for about $75 shipped at my cost.
Probally could modify them to weigh more.
quigly wrote:I wonder how much they actually weigh. Probably nothing some epoxy, some lead weights, and a good paint job can't fix. The dual handle design is a little questionable I would say. Seems like it would be awkward to hold using one hand.

What you are looking at in the Evike ad is a concave riot shield. the two handles comes in handy for trapping unruly subjects against barriers etc....When used in a jail the concave is the other way for exactly that purpose. A "ballistic shield is Kevlar or something similar and has handle options to suit the mission, operator. typically very heavy ( ballistic protection) has lights, and sometimes wheels for the big ones.. A riot shield is polycarbonate and has protection only against thrown objects and fluids ( typically paint, piss, crap and other such items). If you check out some of the 2000 WTO riot vids on you tibe you can see them in action.
Type "ballistic shield" into google images and you will see a pretty fair representation of what is available in the real world, some good models to follow for you too.
