So i'm new to airsoft and i was wondering if camo clothes/uniforms are recommended or worth the money and effort. From every airsoft skirmish video ive seen, almost everyone had camo, and i assume its the same way here.

Clothes are highly recommended.

Camouflage is unnecessary.

Only show up to summer games nude.

You can find sets of camouflage for very very cheap; some camouflage patterns (ex: ACU or Woodlands) in particular you can find for ridiculously cheap. I've seen army spec woodlands BDUs for only $10 at a few surplus stores.

As for vests and other tac stuff, run with what you like. Some people like full plate carriers so they can attach everything they need to it, and some like to run light with only 3 or 4 magazines. There are LOTS of possibilities.

I'd advise you to get a cheap set of camouflage and attend a few skirmishes to see peoples rigs; if you see something you like, ask about it.

Camo is generally a good idea.

And don't be afraid to ask about people's guns and gear. At first i was very intimidated and shy'd away from the "pro" looking guys. This is our hobby, we love showing off our stuff. I'd also not get hunting camo. That stuff is only good if you're sitting still.
