Who sells Vests, Plate Carriers, and pouches?

Who sells Vests, Plate Carriers, and pouches?

Postby Icepick » Sat Mar 26, 2011 5:31 pm

I'm looking to go to somewhere either today or tomorrow that sells replica or real Vests, plate carriers, etc. AONW is just to far for me, and is closed tomorrow... So what are some other options for places that I can pick up a new set of stuff? Any military surplus stores in Northern Oregon/Southern Washington area?

(DO NOT reccomend Andy & Bax, I have been there numerous times and they barely sell any Vests, pouches, etc. ...Please leave it at that...)

If you're wanting to go to a store to try stuff out, just come out to a game and ask to try on peoples' kit. Most of the people here, especially those with nice kit, are total gearwhores, and will be happy to let you try on their $500 plate carrier, while telling you why it's the best thing since the discovery of anal sex.

Too true.

Also, I'm pretty sure Sam, not you, the other Sam, has almost every real steel plate carrier imaginable with $500 in each, so just talk to him ;).
Please, I insist.

Also there is www.gearzoneproducts.com. They have MSA, TAG, Blackhawk, Spec Ops and so on. I ordered my MSA SOHPC from them.

www.diamondbacktactical.com has bad a$$ mag pouches. They are about $16 and are a lot lower cut than most. This gives you better grip on the mag from the get go. They also have some good deals on their clearance stuff right now.

There are lots of other companies out there that sell gear but the ones recommended here are ones people use.

Well this sucks... I was hoping for something I could not spend a leg on, or half of my non-existant soul. But you pay for what you get right? ;)

I guess if anybody has some used plate carriers they have for sale they can post them here, I'm open to options... I was kind of interested in getting one of those "Spec Ops" PCs from Condor, but being 6'3" has its downfalls... What would be a good PC that can cover my whole torso?

If you want something that big, buy Jester's PC. It'll be good for your size.

PM sent.

Now, are there any local places that sell pouches? If I am in the area I guess I could check A&B... I need OD pouches to go with that PC, so another problem has risen.

I go with tactical tailors. I got half of my teams special items there. If you know what you want And need the right size. Do what I did I came on here bought what I could. Then someone sent me a contact for the ampedairsoft shop in Pennsylvania the owners name is Kurt and he hooked my entire team up with correct size flyye lt6094 vests (me and another team member are under 5'5" so it's hard to get gear to fit right) the are built tough as nails and he can order just about anything you could need or want if he doesn't have it in the shop at that time. If you need his email I can pm you with it.

You can get affordable real tear 1 gear for WAY lower than normally advertised price. Scan though the web sites that was listed by the board members and head strait for the "clearance" section and you can generally hit pay dirt. Many times you can find stuff that normally runs $500+ for around $150 or less. Also dig through the classifieds. You may find what you are looking for. There are a lot of players on here that change gear more than their socks, so you may have good luck finding something you like.
